Just my two cent about reveal:
IT, Puzzle or whatever, I don't care, as long as it is a major kick in the quad for people like this Seival-guy and their therories of atrocity.
That's all I want. I want a game where interpretations like that are just not possible. If BW doesn't do anything about that, it'll be the last game I ever bought from them.

Seival's latest thread is asking people what kind of harvested they would like to be

And here I thought you were joking...

I don't understand all of this, if you don't think that and you didn't like the ending just move on
If you did like the ending go play the ****ing game
You(all) can argue all you want, BW has already decided, we have just to wait and see

They are great writers

I'm inclined to agree since ME3 is the only game of their's were I found the writing to be shaky in places.

Doesn't the writing reflect on the entire trilogy.
If you can't end a story and nothing really makes sense, doesn't that mean you did a bad job overall.

Bad trilogy job. 1 and 2 still stand up as fantastic games in my eyes.

That only applies if literal. If IT is true then there's no bad writing.

Actually, i would like to point out the fact that even if literal the endings are good writing. (EC is lazy writing though if literal, but still not bad).

Nah, I don't hate Jacob in 2, I just forget he exists due to being so incredibly boring.

You know, when people who don't even consider IT to be true but still linger and whine in its discussion thread just means that they were actually disappointed with the original ending and find its alternative possibility to be equally disappointing for them. Otherwise, they'd leave happily with a full stomach. Like, flight-lieutenant off!

If Bioware does do something IT or PT, then I'll be happy about it

But if they don't do something and continue to act this way, then I'll be even more disappointed in Bioware

It's like TheProtheans is braindead.

"how can be good writing if ending bad"
"We believe it's not a bad ending with IT"
"nuh-uh bad writing therefore ending bad"
"This is becoming circular"

It can also mean that they planned something more from the beginning.
To make more money, or to make the fans happy that there will be more or ... there are many more reasons than just "bad writing".
Can't tell if I like something like that, but they always said that there will be more to come. Whatever that means.

Atm it can be "bad writing" or a cliffhanger. Both things are possible.

The only thing I'm pretty sure is that they have a crappy marketing department.

I suppose for what they are they're allright. It's just what they are is ridiculous and out of place and abandoning the themes. When watching them in a vacuum only synthesis is badly written.

Pity we can't watch them in a vacuum so they become bad writing by virtue of existing.

Jacob is the only one of the team who doesn't share with you his thoughts and desires, and keeps his inner stuff  to himself. They way other spill their guts to you the first chance they get is actually pretty pathetic compared to that.

Also Jacob is simple and by the book, to make his father's story hit the target - because potentially - he is all of those things, and even more.

Bioware took a risk, by giving you a character who doesn't really care about you, and not interested in sharing his soul with you. And naturally he is the most hated one.

So, IGN FINALLY got wind that another DLC was cooking with all the writers working on it and the main-game composer. It really does seem like we might be getting a proper ending...

Kind of. Non-ITers generally fall into two camps:

Those who failed to understand the themes and morals of the series, as well as subtleties like symbolism and metaphor. This is not difficult stuff, I have no respect for these people.

Those who don't think Bioware is good enough to create IT, and/or don't think they'll follow through with it. They're wrong, but I can respect their beliefs.

Yeah, it's between "instand buy" or "give it a try when it's arround 10eur". And I think that BW is quite aware of that.

Meh, Jacob has his uses.

He gets to escort Kelly, Chakwas and the rest of the crew back to the Normandy while Zaeed, Garrus, Grunt, Jack, Miranda and the rest get do the heavy lifting.

They might've decided on the big picture months ago. But the details are still in liquid state.

It is literaly a quest for shepard's soul. One man is a battlefield, and one man is the universe. If you can't win the fight in one man, how can you possibly win it in the whole universe. And vice versa - you win it here - you win everywhere.

It is the same as Faust.  (by the way - that one had the blatanest example of Deus ex Machina, while Mass Effect doesn't yet)

Stop kidding yourself. BioWare said time and time again that the endings are done now. They're finished. It's over. They won't be changed anymore.
