Indoctrination is a cop-out because it's only used to turn unliked characters and antagonists to turn them into reaper pawns. It's a cheap plot-device to give the player a free licence to kill them, or so to speak. Indoctrination isn't used in any interesting, thought-provoking or emotionally-engaging way at all.
You know when indoctrination would be an awesome plot-device? If it was used to turn your Shepards LI against you and forcing you to kill him/her.
Why should indoctrination only be limited to the badguys or unliked characters? Why aren't Shepards crew members, or better yet, his LI turned against him through indoctrination? Because indoctrination is a cop-out, that's why.
Indoctrinated corrupts the corruptible. Besides, we kill plenty of people that aren't indoctrinated. Indoctrination not being used exactly how you want it to doesn't make it a cop-out.

Spectres! Four Salarians, an Asari, and a FemTurian. That'd give us six of each council race.

Wait.. what? Can you please use quotes when you're replying to me? Because at this moment I have no clue what the hell you're talking about. What is that hum supposed to prove or disprove exactly and what are you exactly replying to?And there are plenty of ways Udina could have been exposed. And Shepard is the only member of the Normandy guaranteed to have been repeatedly exposed to Reaper tech. For that matter, the rest of the crew didn't know about his indoctrination dreams, why would he know if they are starting to crack?

Renegade Shepard for the win too. Too bad Cerberus became cartoon villains in ME3. It would have been great if Cerberus would be an alternative path in ME3 for Renegade Shepards like mine. Similar as The Witcher 2 having the Scoia'tael as an alternative path to the Blue Stripes path.

Yeah, but Volus are plentiful in the Galaxy and Protheans ain't - it would lessen the whole "JAvik is the last one" thing

Let's talk. You're on.
I think what this game lacks is the attack and combat inside the normandy itself.
I want to add, I think what this game forgot to add is story of betrayal.
and I speculate there's traitor inside the normandy.
@ umadcommander
you'll get combat inside the normandy right?
the speculayshun:
I suspect EDI, Traynor, and Cortez if there ever was one.
- EDI or Traynor (comm specialist) is a suspect for feeding TIM intel all the time. TIM know Shepard will be on Thessia even before he arrive, he told kaileng "go to thessia, shepard will be there". The weird thing was that when liara asked him "how do you find this place", he said "the archive (ilos? but only saren was there)".
At that time Udina was already dead, the mission was acquired inside his office though.
- How convenient it was for Traynor to suddenly comes up with cerberus base, come on. Can anybody do the same to shadowbroker base?
- I saw EDI's smile when consoling LI of Shepard's death highly suspect. And she's the only character that no matter what you do, you will like. Even as far as being emphasized by other crew and shepard him/herself.
- As for cortez, there could be a reaper artifact that he smuggle inside the shuttle bay, he set a shop there afterall.
Vega heard the hum.

Ditto. Thieves guild was at least neutral in Morrowind and Oblivion. In Skyrim they're complete bastards. I want to go all Vlad the Impaler on Maven Black-Briar. I can't believe a character like that is plot armored in a TES game. I've tried doing a run or two supporting Stormcloaks, but I just couldn't go through with it. I'd get to Ulfric and I'd just stare at the joining option and eventually go, "Nope, can't do it. Gonna have to cut him open instead." Shame that more Thalmor can't get that treatment too.

The guns that spit "shell casings" are actually spitting spent heat sinks (If I remember the lore). And the Volus aren't THAT ridiculous. I mean, they're just as vulnerable as you'd expect a Volus to be, and they ARE wearing custom battle suits. Also, remember that dreadnought they have? The Kwunu (I believe that's what it's called)? That thing is a BEAST. It seems the Volus are more capable militarily than we thought at first.
