lets find oddities in the normandy to find the mole!

first, in ME3, shepard went all friendly with his cabin.
supect could be:
- allers
- james
- traynor
- did he invite cortez?
Tali or Liara doesn't count, they're imposibility (i hope)

Allers  and traynor have the ability to transmit intel, visual and auditory feeds.
James and cortez, they both have access to storage, a place to smuggle something.

If all four was indoctrinated, Shepard be damned.

It can't be Allers, because it'd have to be a character we like.  And is mandatory.  But mostly that we like.
James is a possibility, but I don't see enough for it.
Traynor... hmm.  How do I put this.  Cerberus put Chambers in that role before because she was willing to do whatever it takes, and take it wherever, to get close to the target.  I think we'd have another Chambers if it was to be Traynor.
Cortez?  Can't be.  They wouldn't give us ONE gay male character and have him turn traitor.  That'd be like giving us ONE romancable black guy and having him che--son of a ****.  How could you do this to us, Cortez?!

Well, he did mysteriously survive having his shuttle shot down. STEEEVE!

and guess who replace him immediately, COAATES!

I never got the whole "Coates is indoctrinated" thing. Can someone please explain it?

It's the renegade version of starting to fail due to indoctrination. Paragon is obvious lack of confidence (in certain parts).

Wrex/Mordin: you shoot him if you're an arse. No indoctrination needed.
Falere: she is an unknown thus you can either hope it all works out and doesn't bite you in the arse afterwards, or you kill her.
VS: They betrayed friends (you) and trusted enemies... just saying. It's not like you have to shoot them, it's only if you want to make sure that hesitate doesn't cause everything to break down. This time it works, as another takes the shot. The other time TIM kills you.

Dark Brotherhood for the win. HAIL SITHIS!

Renegade Shepard for the win too. Too bad Cerberus became cartoon villains in ME3. It would have been great if Cerberus would be an alternative path in ME3 for Renegade Shepards like mine. Similar as The Witcher 2 having the Scoia'tael as an alternative path to the Blue Stripes path.

Cerberus was always evil. If you didn't see that in ME2 then you bought their propaganda. No wonder you don't get the themes.

It's because of naive and ignorant people like you who see the world black-and-white with no shades of grey that BioWare turned Cerberus into Saturday-morning cartoon villains and actually get away with that crap too. Seriously, I can't f*cking believe it. I sometimes really wonder what the average age and average IQ of the average Mass Effect player is.

They didn't get turned into anything, it's always been the same Cerberus. I don't view the world in black and white, but sometimes things just are black. Is Cerberus grey? Sure they are, as long as you're comparing them to the ReapersPosted Image

Besides, Cerberus is indoctrinated, which basically means you're just fighting Reapers. Actually, you don't fight anyone who isn't indoctrinated in ME3. Cerberus? Yep. Heretic Geth? Yep. Reaper forces? Obviously. You don't fight Cerberus too much, as you're really just fighting the Reapers anyway.

You just proved my point. Thank you.

Your point? You admit that you fight nothing but indoctrination throughout ME3, but it's not possible that you're personally fighting it at the end? That's something called "theme".

it seems that after so many posts you still don't get it.

Honestly, how many times do I have to repeat myself? INDOCTRINATION IS A COP-OUT! It's not awesome. It's not the best part of ME3. It could have been, but it isn't. It's used as a incredibly weak plot-device to turn morally ambiguous and partly-evil characters to fully-evil, giving Shepard a free licence to kill.

Have you never noticed that ONLY characters that the majority of the fanbase didn't like or expected to be evil are indoctrinated in ME3? How is that not a cop-out?

Also, whenever there is conflict in ME3, it always burns down to "lol he's indoctrinated". How is that not incredibly lazy, shallow and predictiable writing? Is BioWare to stupid to come up with actual motives for their characters, are their just too lazy to come up with actual motives for their characters or do they truly this this "lol indoctrinated" cop-out is good writing?

And why is it that we never ever see one of the goodguys becoming indoctrinated? Are goodguys magically shielded against indoctrination or something?

Indoctrination could have been awesome. it would have been awesome if our LI turned out to be indoctrinated, forcing our Shepard to kill his own LI in order to save his crew and the galaxy. THAT would truly show us how powerful and dangerous indoctrination is. But no, that never happens. Instead indoctrination is only used as a weak, cheap and shallow cop-out to turn the morally ambiguous characters or factions into reaper pawns so we have a reason to kill them off. It's f*cking lame, but you just don't wanna see that. You just don't want to see it.

I really shot Wrex once in ME1 to save Mording in ME3. But I usually do not shot Rana Thanoptis or Shiala. Both too awesome to die through my hand.
But I see your point, ME3 had really ... morally questionable renegade interrupts.

Looking forward to the DLC, reckon it'll be something big and awesome for us!

IT reveal would obviously be the best thing ever, but even if it isn't it will be awesome!

Can everyone just not respond to the trolls in here please.

Kinda hard to get excited about DLC after Omega.

Omega was done by Montreal. The new one seems to be done by Edmonton. And come on, Sam Hulick is composer, if I remember correctly this is the first time he's involved in a DLC.
I say this DLC is going to be at least relevant to the main plot. I guess it at least will contain something for everyone. If not post-ending or main campaign relevant, then something involving multiple squadmates (since 9 writers).

About that. I thought ME3 had 8 writers. Am I wrong? If not, who is the 9th writer? Hudson?

Also, Hulick did do 1 DLC - Extended Cut. Which does not change your point at all. In fact it helps it. If he's involved, it has to be main plot related. I'd be surprised if it wasn't post end honestly. He discussed multiple tones right? He already wrote the themes in control, synthesis, refuse and destroy. Who better to do it again.

No idea if all 9 writers are from the initial ME3 team but both this
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/12486978/128#15159989 and this
social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/323/index/12486978/128#15160173

from the Twitter thread tell me at least 8 writers are working on it. So this DLC script will sure get a lot of attention and be polished as good as it can be (in given time constraints). So no rumors this time that this thing won't be reviewed by the writing team.

dear god.  indoctrination may appear to be irrelevant, but thats it's trick.  to change someones opinnions and therefore their minset. from the outside they appear normal.  the perfect weapon.  completely untracable until it's too late.

Yeah, I'd imagine that's what the Typhoon does. Maybe that's why it's so heavy? It must have a minifabricator in it. The rate at which it produces them is a bit unbelievable, but I don't care. Posted Image
