And he says "you can't help me", as if he knows who Shepard is.

No, you - a celebrated hero of the galaxy, known for beating impossible odss, can't help me. I'think i'll rather take my chances in this dark went.

Yeah, I think the child is real when we first see him playing with the ship, but after that it's in Shepard's head, such as seeing him run into the building with the locked door where he hides in the vent. That is a good point that Glyph would've seen Shepard looking at the kid from his cell, as I'm sure Liara would've wanted surveilance on Shepard during his 'incarceration'. And maybe it is possible that the Reapers could simply pull it from his head as well, as the indoctrination would've been slowly building at this point.

Plus Mac majored in psychology so I assume would know a lot about how children and adult minds differ. He'd know this would be odd for a child..IT :D

So, just to confirm, Brat's glow is really labelled Dreamglow (Or whatever it is)? Because if so, wow, I think I can say with conviction that this proves IT.

ok, but I mean he is real until the Reaper Destroyer destroys the transport he is on. The official artbook states that the boy is supposed to reprezsent those Shepard couldn't save and I don't think they'd go that far with IT to the point of lying in official items to cover a single clue. Also, to defend the Catalyst being overlord over Glyph, he could have done it instantaneously too, like Leviathan did.

The boy doesn't necessarily have to be real to represent those who could not be saved. I do not think the child is real. Even if one disregards the impossible distance he traveled for a lone human child amidst the ensuing chaos, his disappearing act in the vent is way too strange to ignore.

He disappears without a sound on cue with the sound of a reaper growl. In Mass Effect Retribution, it was noted that the growl signified a failed attempt by the reapers to take hold of someone's mind. Anderson's call for Shepard's attention snaps him back to reality and the boy disappears at that same moment with that familiar growling noise.

And so theres no room for doubt, the vent scene with Liara and Cerberus troops did a good job pointing out that crawling through vents is noisy as hell.

just coming back in to say this to Byne:
I downloaded Dragonborn yesterday too. It broke my game on 360 so I had to clear my cache. It works now. Still it was annoying as hell when I tried to create a new character and the axeman stood there staring at me like a creepy SnM guy while Alduin flies around like a moron instead of landing on the Tower like he's supposed to do. It also bugged all of the dungeon puzzles.

" Snake.... snake... come on turn.... ah screw this. "
Run back into other cell then back to reload so it works.

Anyway, back to work.

I hate to sound a wet blanket, but that might just be some sort of off-the-shelf texture that's used in lots of games and has an arbitrary name.

I don't know anything about game development, so I could be talking out of my fundament, but it's probably best not to get too excited just yet.

(would be cool if it was deliberate though)

Thats no fun! The worst bug I got from it was when I walked into a shop, and the cell decided loading the interior was for chumps, so I just walked into a room, saw the shopkeeper and all her wares just floating there, then after a second we all started falling into a bottomless pit.

Had to reload, but it was pretty hilarious.

Obnoxious? Me? Really?

All I did was explain why I think what I think.

Never did I condescend, or call anyone stupid or retarded or anything along those lines because they do not share my opinion. I never do.

And posting a funny meme is just humourous, it is not something that is offensive.

Not cool, Raven.

My biggest problem with glyph being the intelligence is if it wasn't for Liara he'd probably have been tossed out an airlock. Maybe that says something about Liara, but being ultra annoying isn't the best way to ensure close proximity with your target. Id be pretty irked if such a doofus "character" gets revealed as the Reaper Overlord

He may not be the overlord any more.

Bit like Davros getting demoted to the status of "batty relative in the basement" by the Supreme Dalek.

If the reapers are an example of an AI singularity - then they would be an improvement on their creator, and would naturally usurp him.

I guess glyph never struck me as capable of overthrowing the Leviathan. It just seems so derpy

I've looked at the last ten pages to catch up and I honestly think Hanar has gone from a debator questioning certain ideas to becoming a full fleged troll bashing everything and everyones opinon that doesn't match his own.

I am glad we are taking a break. Since for the last 4 days have been nothing but arguments, and troll attacks we could use some peace. I just think in my opinion they trolls us because they want use to leave. Thus get's ride of ITers, and the IT thread.

Agreed, this is how I see it as well. It just seems suspicious at how much emphasis was placed on this kid, he just shows up way too much in the game from beginning to end that he HAS to play a much larger role than simpily a guilt card on Shepard's conscience.

But I think it's real. This texture in contained in the package for the Guardian.

The Guardian.pcc package also contains the default textures for the boy (same ones you saw on Earth in Vancouver). The textures that look like clothes or a uniform, not this one. It's just layered.

So, can I start honestly saying that IT is proven?  Because that's something I've wanted to say for a very FRAKKING long time.

That's just what he wants you to think!

Seriously though, I don't know if it's true, but for some reason I just really like this idea. It's fun. It's a bit like that Foundation novel by Asimov where the seemingly harmless guy with mental difficulties turned out to be the mastermind of a galactic empire in disguise (iirc).

Besides, the Leviathans weren't exactly the sharpest chisels in the shed. ;)
