Rifneno, none of what you are saying happened. The idea was proposed ages ago and it would make a mind-blowing twist. I don't understand why you feel entitled to what you did in ME3.

I agree with Rif 110% on this one.

Ok but why do people keep bringing up the argument that because they did something in ME3 BioWare has to respect that and consider it done?

I didn't cure the genophage and didn't forge the geth-quarian alliance so it all did not happen. Posted Image

Then your Shepard sucks.  What does this have to do with the fact that most fans were happy to finally get the chance to do those things after 2 games of build up?

Yes, they do. They aren't used to playing games/watching shows that require you to think at all. Posted Image

Hate to say it, Mass Effect isn't designed for those people. I mean sure, it's a shooter/RPG, but that's where it stops. It also has a deep philosophical part to it.

There was a guy who made a video that talks about how there's a growing trend in gaming where they are switching from the mindless shooter type of game to the really thought provoking kind of games or movies. Wish I could find his video. It was really interesting. He doesn't subscribe to IT, but he thought this game was really thought provoking.

I hope the trend continues. Posted Image

.......what?!

Why do they think TIM killed himself?

God damn the wiki people are stupid.

Well, the date on that makes it somewhat more reasonable, but still wasnt he obviously indoctrinated in a comic that came out a while ago?

Yeah, but this is how they are and this is how the rest of BSN is.

Another thing I remember him saying was aside from referring to it as thought provoking, he said the game requires "higher thinking" especially during the ending. Same kind of thing.

 Illusive Man Indoctrination?

So, it's recently been discussed on the forums that the story of the Illusive Man suggested that he was exposed to Reaper tech, and in fact some of his cybernetics are Reaper. So, should he be listed on this page, at the very least as potential until ME3 confirms it either way? AbsolutGrndZer0 01:20, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

No as it is speculation, and we do not allow speculation in articles. Until we have confirmation, we can't mention this. Lancer1289 01:22, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Agreed. All we know for certain is that the Illusive Man's been exposed to Reaper tech, but Evolution and ME2 show no evidence of him being indoctrinated. If ME3 reveals that he was indoctrinated, we'll add him to this article then. -- Commdor (Talk) 01:25, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Um... what about "Possible Victims" section? That's all speculation, isn't it? AbsolutGrndZer0 02:43, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

We don't allow speculation in articles so that's a no on adding that, which in of itself is speculation. Lancer1289 02:51, June 20, 2011 (UTC)
(Edit Conflict) You're right, that would be speculation. I've removed the section. -- Commdor (Talk) 02:52, June 20, 2011 (UTC)

Now this is talk before ME3 but to my knowledge it still hasn't been addressed and he's not on the page.

I remember reading one of those talk pages and them barking about some theory was "even more ludicrous than that one about Matriarch Aethyta being Liara's father." I lol'd.

Nothing short of Bioware themselves telling it to their faces will get them to acknowledge.

"Listen to yourself, you're indoctrinated!"

Great. Choose Wisely can do what it wants. To be honest, I never watched any of them.

I was going to watch Choose Wisely 3 until Hellish came in here and told us we were speculating wrong and implied some of us needed to be spoonfed the truth or some bull**** like that.

Now I dont really care.

Imagine that.

You should really check it out. It's got good information and new clues, even if Hellish was a little insulting. Whether you like the author or not has no bearing on the actual information. Choose Wisely is a good watch and it has new clues that I know I had never seen before, and I've been around since page 30 of Mk 1. It's worth watching.

If people are saying IT isn't Indoctrinbated, then they lost all sense. I mean come on TIM tells the reapers about the catalyst being the Citadle right..... OMG that's it.

TIM told the Reapers that the Citadle is the catalyst right, yet when SHepard arrvies on the citadle/ meets the brat, it all changes. Oh and When Shepard ask the brat

Shepard: I thought the Citadle was the Catalyst?
Child: No the CItadle is A PART OF ME.
So he does have control of the Citadle right, I mean if he is the Citadle ( his body) and his mind/ core programming is somewhere on the Citadle right..That's if you think literaly though.

looking back, it's from before ME3 but even at the end of ME2, it was so patently obvious. And then there was the comic book. Well, anyway, he's on there now but this is the kind of mentality out there.

Aethyta: I've heard stories about the Reapers messing with your head.
Liara: They're more than stories. I've seen it. Every Cerberus soldier is a Reaper slave.

TIM didn't really shoot himself. Everyone knows that guns flash fabricate a shell casing for funsies even though they don't use bullets as we know them.

You gotta love the way Bioware approached Shepard's Indoctrination. They provided perfect counter examples for some possible explanations about Shepards condition.

It's clearly not PTSD, because Chambers and that Asari are perfect counter examples.

The child in the dreams could represent the people Shepard could not save. Yet Shepard has not acted like that when the VS died, or any innocent person other than the child. On top of that, it's connection to the Reapers is confirmed when the "Catalyst" takes the form of that very child.

Seriously though, I really can't imagine what this DLC might be apart from post ending. Can anyone think of any obvious plot threads left hanging that they might want to tie up in the same manner as Omega?

I can. Something to shed light on the salarians and their game - dealings with cerberus, possible pact with the reapers - etc.

Ooh juicy! One one hand I'm intrigued by that idea, on the other I'm slightly bummed out. I was hoping that the only possible story they could tell would be post ending - as that would be far more interesting for me. Oh well.

Private Campbell: When this war is over, I hope we find every race that sat back while we bled, and get some payback.
Private Westmoreland: That's a great plan... follow war with more war.

The PTSD one makes me rage.  So sick of everyone in the world thinking they're a psychologist because they heard Jerry Springer say homophobes are in the closet.

It's even less likely PTSD with the Sole Survivor background.
Hell, even War Hero is pretty doubtful.
