This is what QEC looks like for the Alliance. Notice the highlighted areas:

Hi, everyone, this is Emily Wong with FCC News. Apologies for text-only feed! #solcomms

Talking with Dr. Leisha Martinette at UCLA, using QEC -- quantum entanglement communicator. #solcomms
QEC faster than light, but can only talk to matched particle. Also limited to text. Yay typing! #solcomms
This QEC talking to asari space near Trikalon. With comm buoys out, only way to talk offworld. #solcoms

Loss of comm buoys huge financially. All of Earth cut off from Extranet. Still not sure why. #solcomms
Dr. Martinette says could be environmental, not necessarily sabotsdfasiofhd
<SIGNAL LOSS> #solcomms
Back, sorry, just had minor quake. Knocked out power. QEC now hooked to portable cell. Back in business! :) #solcomms
Emily Wong, FCC News, here at UCLA trying to find reason for Earth's comm buoy outage #solcomms
Need to move, will try to take QEC. Dr. M says can't. Back soon. #solcomms
Emily Wong, back online. Taking QEC to report on ship, UCLA-PD Officer Aidan Pearson coming with us to guard it. #solcomms
Putting QEC on little mass cart to try to get it into the company skyvan. Back soon. #solcomms
This is Emily Wong reporting via QEC on the alien attack on Earth. We are back online and okay. #solcomms
We didn't get hit. It must not have wanted us too bad. QEC took a bump during the dodge, Dr. M saved it. #solcomms

hmm no new voice work for Shepard. I bet they did the Shepard voice recordings while they were recording for Omega since they would have Shepard to themselves for that whole dlc. Would be easier to keep it on the down low

" It’s hard to judge what shape the new content will take. While BioWare has released content like Mass Effect 3: The Extended Cut to try and mollify fans dissatisfied with the game’s controversial ending, they did not record new voice work to flesh out that content at the time, meaning what was released had already been prepared."

Is that true?

Strange. Well, Seth Green is back! Hopefully for more than one line this time. 22% upload. Prepare yourselves for the arrival!

Is it even possible to do a DLC without Shepard lines?

Goodnight MB.

yay this thread is still going when i wake up = result.

for IT to be confirmed i dont think you need any more voice work from meer/hale as the results of indoctrination are there for us to see. we all wanted IT defining contextually and it looks like we might just get it. gonna be fun speculating on this over the coming days.

How can you have a massive dlc without Shepard?

Extended extended cut? No way.

IT where even high ems destroy Shepard is out of commission? I always thought Shepard could be put into stasis until the Reapers were destroyed, once they're gone I'd guess they could repair most or all of the possible damage (project lazarus...)

Unless, the lines have been prerecorded

Heres hoping they dont do something like make it a DLC about a character other than Shepard.

Like playing as Anderson on Earth or anything. I like Anderson, but I dont want that kind of DLC.

" New voice work is a promising sign, but it doesn’t appear now that there will be new voice work from Commander Shepherd, meaning that even if the new content is substantial, it won’t expand players’ existing characters."

What's their source? Because without knowing what was said there's no way to know if they are drawing the wrong conclusion. Did Bioware say no new voice work from Shepard or did they say something like we aren't bringing them in, which could mean that it's already recorded as CmdrShep suggested?

Apparently Seth Green and Raphael Sbarge are in it, so it must involve Shepard.

Probably won't help since they most likely signed NDAs, but I think this is wrong anyway. Posted Image They don't have a source as far as I can tell.

90% uploaded if anyone wants to see my probably mediocre video. Posted Image Posted Image

see dream sequence. Entire thing was done without a single Shepard line. They can also recycle lines

The Eurogamer article sourced never mentions Shepard at all regarding VAs. Seems digitaltrends might be making a big assumption based off that eurogamer article.

It also doesn't mention the digitaltrends assertion that the EC VA was already completed beforehand

Seeing as their source for that article is this very forum and that they spelled Jos Hendriks name incorrectly I wouldn't worry about no Shepard VA.

No new voice work for Shepard = no new Shepard or Shepard 2 = we can't tell ya or we'd spoil it all and you won't buy it if you knew how it ended

Doubt it. They didn't even recycle "Assuming control".

@Dork With all 9 writers, 3 composers working on it including Sam Hulick, and it being made at Bioware Edmonton I'd say:

Yes. This is good news. Posted Image I agree with Home Run.

Shepard: ಠಠಠ_ಠಠಠ

Your species has the attention of those infinitely your greater
We are the beginning, you will be the end
You are called; you must answer
You insult a future you cannot comprehend

One must not destroy the nation
You are the one wasting lives
The void awaits your ascension
Organic life will not survive
