So, the old "now go out there and buy DLC" message ... what does it tell us about about Shepards story?
Looks like that datapad is really important storywise. And it showed up in low EMS as well, so it has to be more than really important.

The message even if not that great fits perfectly with the literal interpretation while it doesn't with IT, which is a fact, yes. If it would be the only instance it could be waved away, but it is not, thus it is basically a statement of intention.

So, what the meaning behind it? Who is (or was) this DLC and what did he do to Sheperd that he's worth mentioning in that datapad?

Nice troll but beside the point. 10/11

Not if this datapad is nothing more than a "Thanks for playing the game, now buy DLC" advertisement.

Maybe, just maybe the stargazer scene is out of the narrative? You know, as in it's not actually part of damn story? As in it's there to be a message to the player that there's one more story?

Sigh. I don't usually receive gifts, but when I do, I say:
"Hey I appreciate the thought but it just doesn't work."

The rhyme scheme is ABAB CDCD.
Your species has the attention of those infinitely your greater
We are the beginning, you will be the end
You are called; you must answer
You insult a future you cannot comprehend

One must not destroy the nation
You are the one wasting lives
The void awaits your ascension
Organic life will not survive

Sure the rhythm is off but I only had existing material to work with. Which is why I said this:
"I know it sucks." I was anything but arrogant with my presentation, I simply spent a while making something for fun and to show my friends, and "it just doesn't work." Posted Image

Ever think of the possibility that we haven't seen all there is yet? Until the last DLC is released, we cannot make a definite statement if the IT is true or not.

Yes, but any additional content doesn't have to support the original intentions. Stories are changed on demand if there is a bigger profit to be expected. This goes both ways, which is why many people don't like this sort of thing. Personally I would have loved it if they never made the EC but only touched the issue with Leviathan. That would have been much closer to the original intent then anything that can be released now.

IKR? It's almost as if it's just a 4th wall breaking message that tells us we'll get another game with Shepard.

Quite possible. The ME1 - 3 trilogy was Shepard's story. After the last cinematic before the credits the narrative would be over wouldn't it?

Oh this is just beautiful. Who the **** cares what the definition of a rhyme is? If it sounds similar when you hear it, that should be enough to serve its purpose.

And yes, there is now an argument about whether or not something rhymes. Cool.

Now thats the most fool arguement against  IT that i have seen, Bioware wants us to buy their future DLC thats all the datapad is. If you wanna get deeper than your saying the ending never happens and we never did attack the Cerberus base because after that datapad we start right before the Cerberus Base attack.

It's called a slant rhyme. Really, Megumi, at this point you're just being rude and negative. Maybe you should lay off and just give Banshee a little credit for such a cool video? Or at least stop being such a nitpicker.

Also completely beside the point and it looks like pure spite. Seriously the datapad isn't the only thing in the game where the word legend is used in that context, which I also said.

Well, on my planet they are classified as "weak" or "syllabic" rhymes, since the sounds at the end of the words are the same. It's a dead giveaway. Posted Image

Well I am not a huge supporter of IT but i am not going to let some message by Bioware thats trying to get us to buy DLC when its released to be used against this Theory and thats all I am seeing from you when browsing this thread on this page.

Doesnt the Stargazer scene require you to either import a save or be on a NewGame+ to get it?

I'm pretty sure it used to. Unless I'm confusing it with something else.
