Indeed.  And ONLY his scream.

Answer: the Child isn't real.

but is he real at the beggining when he´s playing with the toy spece ship?
then the reapers used his image in shepard

NO.  i came up with a theory that actually the kid represents Shepard.  represents a vision of what is to come.  destruction and loss.  A part of the indoctrination going on in his  head.  Carried on into his dreams.  An emotional anchor.

Then the reapers can generate random people to mess with a person´s mind?
Or it´s like in the Marauder Shields comic, where shepard once saw the child, and thats where the reapers took the look of the kid?

You mean the fact that default male shepard eyes were blue, so is the ventboy
and default female shepard eyes were green, so is the sunflower-girl.

And the fact that both kid in the vent and the field plays the same alliance model ship, one that shepard/femshepard could purchase at kassa fabrication store,

and the fact that the boy were designed to look like shepard, complete with his background integrated into his fashion.

that's page 16 from the artbook you get when you buy collectors edition.

and that if the starbrat change gender correlated with shepards, it would be too damn obvious.

The kid is shepurd! :o

Since the kid appears on memorial wall, either that photo is an illusion or he was alive at some point.
Maybe the reapers can only take the form of dead people, like the First in Buffy.

Sunflower girl?

Something else that strikes me is that you'll notice they experimented a lot with the clothing, but never the actual child.  It's the exact same child, there was never any doubt as to what the child would look like, only his clothes.  Why is that?  ...  I'm not a betting man, but I'd probably bet money that kid was designed from a childhood photo they got from Mark Vanderloo.

Possibly, but there's nothing to suggest he was ever real.  Even the place we initially saw him disappears.

And isn't that laugh we hear of his echoy?  classic dream-like sound effect.  And he's in a complete echo-free area.

The Child isn't real from the very beginning. The way the shuttle is shown to trick us into believing it's a true craft, only to give it away it's not a second later, proves that. The opening Earth scene of the game is a hint something is off with the Child and will be with Shepard.

i think the only think that invalidates that theory is that it requires the player to play as sheploo, and i´m sure not eveybody does that, so maybe Bioware scrathed that idea for that reason

You're right,
Still, it might've been planned, and EA sure have thesims engine that can morph adult face into kids, but it didn't happen.

And we got coates in both those trailer.
Mighty suspicious you see. Lets make TTT! Time Traveler Theory
We have QEC (Quantum Entanglement Comm thingy)
it's plausible to have an information being superdense-coded into quantum bit, and then sent back through time using crucible be it accidental or on purpose.

That could explain coats double.

If the kid was Shepard, wouldn't that mean the whole Indoctrination should be obvious to him. I mean he surely knows how he looked in childhood. On the other hand, if his mind is already seriously messed up from the get-go in ME3, making the child look familiar to him, makes him appear trustworthy to Shepard.

Isn't it usual for design presentations to use the same manequin to focus only on the clothing? They could also have chosen that face in the artbook to show that it's indeed a child. And the face doesn't really look like either the ingame one or a young Vanderloo.

There is also one more interesting thing - i rewatched the ME3 final titles and noted the music that was used.
It doesn't mean anything, but the choice of tracks that are used is interesting.

It is Das Malefitz by the Fuentes, followed by the track Creation, that is used in the character generation screen, followed by the Leaving Earth track. (I may have mixed up the order there a bit).

Only those three tracks.

Das Malefitz is very close for Das Malefiz - which translates from german as the maleficent. And even if the Malefitz isn't an actual word - it has Das before it which indicates german, and Mal - is Bad in german.

An interesting choice for a happy ending to a trilogy, don't you think?

Which it wasn't supposed to be, but a bittersweet ending. Which it easily were before the EC.

Put yourself in that position, would you immediately recognize yourself if you saw you in a dream?
I read an article about it, that psychologically, a person usually treat their past and future self as a stranger.

Also, the first encounter with the kid is not in a dream but in Vancouver.
