The planet being similar to Aeia makes sense, as a ship crashed there, more memories. While this does makes sense, and there's nothing wrong with it, I'm sticking with the Stargazer scene being outside the narrative, I think the story makes more sense like that.

I agree with you here. The stargazer scene being outside of the narrative would also explain the difference between using the Crucible and not using it. But if you want to stick to the idea that it is still part of the narrative - then the difference between Crucible/Non-Crucible is explained through the hallucinatory effect.
I guess I'll do schematics about the different layers of reality and during the end sequence in various interpretations.
And I think I'll make a poll about it
