TWD won GOTY because of the series, not the game itself
Well thats also stupid.
Thats like having Lego Lord of the Rings win because people like the books and movies.

And joker's videos. Also isn't it weird that in ME1 Joker was spying on Shepard, so.... um what IF Joker was watching Shepard, and his/her LI...

Revealing IT at a crummy VGA award show would cheapen the impact of the reveal. Content should speak for itself, after all.
I wasnt expecting an IT reveal, but I was at least expecting some sort of announcement from BioWare.
Funny that they used a line from Harby even though they eliminated him almost entirely from ME3...MegumiAzusa wrote...

Finally finished my ME2 insanity playthrough just before the VGAs... fun show, claps for ME3.
But anyway, and I'm sure this was mentioned in the first Mark or something, but I haven't made my way through all of them, and it's fun for newer people to bring it up but...the Vega hum is the same hum in a slightly modulated pitch from the Collector base.
I used to convince myself it was just a fan or engine SFX, but... not anymore. And that Vega vid just highlights how odd of a question that is. And by odd I mean blatantly referencing the codex symptoms of indoc. But we'll go with "odd" because speculation and all.

If he was spying on us, he wouldnt have had to ask Liara in LotSB if we'd be acting out scenes from Vaenia. He'd know.
iirc that is actually part of the music, though I you would have to check at that specific point. On two occasions where you can save there is no such sound.Krimzie wrote...

Probably because the suicide mission is supposed to feel epic, not creepy. London still has that problem if no post end content is coming.MegumiAzusa wrote...

Though the interesting thing is:
collector vessel start: not many sounds, all pretty calm
collector vessel near end: louder sounds, much more frequent, some Reaper sounds, and some that have a spooky ring to it like if someone was exhaling, the reaper and exhaling sound play rather infrequent though
derelict reaper: obvious buzzing sounds, reaper sounds, the exhaling from before but much louder, while you are the core there is a sound that is basically like someone exhaling 24/7 or some kind of wind, also the sound when the core is open to be shot is really annoying
collector base: in opposition to the previous two its sounds are nearly completely different, lots of collector chatter and much less of these spooky noises
It's still creepy but not spooky. But yes I agree it's presumably the difference in the style of the mission itself.BansheeOwnage wrote...

I don't know, sorry. I arrived just now and no one seems to be doing much at the moment. I heard some stuff about them using Harbinger's "We have returned" line, working on something for a year and Ali Hillis talking about little blue babiesMWMike2011 wrote...
So, children of the IT, anything new today? I saw nothing was really announced, but now that ME3 won RPG of the Year, do we think there might be something big cooking for an announcement soon-ish?

Me too, though I didn't watch it yet. I'm just relaying what I heard. For the record:MWMike2011 wrote...

That Shepards/Garrus conversation was hilariously awesome!
I should go.
