Yes, it is art, so is Mass Effect, whether you like it or not, whether the IT is true or not. Isn't it so that you guys praise the "art" of Mass Effect 3 in form of the IT? Isn't it so that you guys think the IT is "art" and that the ambigious endings of ME3 are really "artistic"? Didn't you guys say that if the IT is true, BioWare are the greatest artists in video-game history? I'm sure I've seen things like that being posted.
At the same time, this video I linked does exactly the same. It's an artistic video that is open for multiple intepretations. It's ambigious, yet the message of it is very strong once you start to see the patterns and once you start to understand the symbolism in it. This video truly is art, more than Mass Effect will ever be.
I thought you guys could and would appreciate a video like that. Seems I was wrong.
****** off with your ****** video. It's got nothing to do with this thread. It's not more art than me3, it's bollocks. You're trying to act intelligent but it's honestly pathetic. Go back to your ignorant 'bad writing' thread and bash Bioware there. It Irks me how you behave
Coolio can you please stop being so hostile to everyone who comes into this thread and doesn’t share your opinion on IT?
I know Heretic_Hanar hasn’t exactly endeared himself to any of us because of what he has said in the past but is it really necessary to verbally abuse him? If you’re not careful you're going to get yourself banned sooner or later.
Uh... no I do remember Heretic_Hanar quite well and Coolio's quite justified in his hostility here...

I keep thinking,if IT is true and is released as dlc, then everybody would know that IT is true and then the surprise is gone.
So if it is true then how do they release it???
Well, as many here suggested, it could be at the end of the DLC cycle as the final DLC. But I myself wonder whether they can KOTOR-like flashback every piece of hint to the final reveal. I guess it's neither possible, nor really necessery. Only some of it is really obvious. The most other hints and clues are so well hidden that even a KOTOR-flashback won't really help -- like for example the gun swap: if you haven't already seen it, then a camera zoom on it in an IT-DLC won't really be that enlightening, either.
Also, I want to say, that the amount of cussing, name calling and off-topicity has increased to the level where my spidey senses are tingling that it's not far until a mod or worse could jump in and crash the party and kill the music.
So maybe we could go back to a more civilized behaviour?
You were told right in the face you experienced things before etc, in indoctrination the only things that come to my mind that would be good to display in flashbacks are scenes that are really weird. Something like the voices at the beginning when you're semi unconscious maybe, and only with commentary of what you should have noticed.

Byne I had to edit his name because I'm on my phone you see. I deleted his name so I could actually type stuff in. I couldn't remember his name and had a guess.
FF0 I'm not hostile towards everyone, just people I consider to be dicks.
People stop telling me to calm down, please. I'm not even mad, I just swear a lot when writing things down. When I talk I'm actually pretty eloquent; I just can't be arsed on discussion boards.

It is pretty obvious that we have nothing to speculate on so why does everyone feel the need to keep posting so that the page count goes up? Quality comes over quantity and right now it seems that everyone is shooting for quantity. If there is nothing to speculate on then keep looking until you find something new. The time spent with the useless posts could easily be spent searching through the games like I have, I am not saying that you will find anything new, because I haven't, but time spent on off-topicness is wasteful. Again, if there is nothing worthy of posting don't post at all.

Is that not the problem though? People are so caught up in their off topic conversation that the actual speculation material is completely overlooked. A few good things are posted each day but it is not nearly speculated upon as much as it should be because it gets burried in the pages by random chatter.MegumiAzusa wrote...

You want speculation? You got it.
Let's begin from the beginning.
Mass Effect 1.
You hear whispers in the scene discussing the Prothean visions with Anderson and Chakwas.
What's say we have a closer look at that Prothean vision in fact.
Amongst other things, I recognize what could perhaps be a Reaper face mixed in with alot of trippy and disturbing images, mostly focused on lots of merged synth-organics.
Saren himself, his constant comments about the nature of Synthesis. Also, do we have a timeline for when he was implanted? The reasons? Does anyone know when his arm was replaced with a Geth arm?
Saren also has his body break down after he commits suicide/gets killed by you, revealing his synthetic parts, his flesh burning away, it seems. Thoughts on the significance of this?
ME2, can we determine precisely what parts of Shepard are synthetic?
The Arrival, let's have a closer look at Dr.Kenson's actions. She seems to go insane after Shepard spends 2 days on a slab, anyone know why she degraded that quickly? Before she seemed rather canny. Also, why was it Harbinger could speak through her, with no apparent physical augmentation? Or for that matter, release control without her dying?
ME3, the game opens on a skewed veiw of reality, focusing in on the Ship the kid is holding, making us think it's real, much like the trailer, but why then, show a different kid? Thoughts?
If not indoctrination, or hallucination of some form, what then is the point of all the comments we receive questioning the reality of a situation?
Shepard also comments on Chronus Station that he could be a hyper-intelligent VI that thinks it's commander Shepard, much like the VI of Shepard we can see and talk to. Perhaps this also brings connections to President Huerta?
What is the significance of adding the Three Husketeers to the Beam shuffle if the game is set to Insanity?
Discuss.

Maybe bioware realised how many people believed in IT and tried to decrease the number of people who believed in it,then that makes people pick one of the three options honestly instead of everyone picking destroy.

It is difficult to look past peoples opinions, especially when they are opposite of yours. It is easy to see a person as an antagonist when you don't agree with his philosphy or behavior. I know this all too well. It is easy to think of the IT as some crazy cult filled with mad lunatics. I know I have jokingly referred to the IT being a cult multiple times. It's just how I think about the Indoctrination Theory itself. I want you to know however that I'm fully aware that most of you are probably perfectly healthy, sane and smart people and I do not direspect any of you, not even CoolioThane, though I do wish he'd keep his temper-tantrums in check in the future, if only for his own good (like you said, it might get him banned, I'm sure he doesn't want that).
That said, I had a great time discussing and debating the IT a while ago in the Mark II thread. I'm sure some of you did not appreciate me barging in attacking the IT, but I know some of you did, as it gave you the oppertunity to discuss the IT once again trying to convince me of it's merits. Like I said back then: Youn can't be an interesting protagonist without an antagonist. Antagonism keeps things interesting. That's why I love discussions, what's why I love playing devil's advocate. Does that make me a troll? That's up for debate. Some of you might think so, but I don't see myself as a troll, although I do acknowledge I love it to stir up the fire.
Yeah, this was a rather pointlessly long post, but I said what I wanted to say. I'll be going now. Cheers and if you liked the video, please share it! That video is a labour of love from 1 dude who spend 5 years of his life on it. That deserves some respect in my opinion.
And if you wish to discuss the content of the video with me, say so, I might make a seperate topic about it in the off-topic section of BSN.
Cheers!

I have made it a point to not spoil Leviathan for myself but if I were to take a guess, any new part of the Citadel should be thoroughly looked over because it was not part of any of the past 2 games. Any hums or people acting weird is enough to tell us that something is up with the Citadel. It is possible, like Turbo said, for Leviathan to be giving the indoctrination test which would mean we should hear some infrasound in every place we search for him.byne wrote...

I sincerely doubt it. And while my own hopes would be for Keeper C&C, I think it's more likely that it's just a one-time mundane location like Liara's apartment in Lair of the Shadowbroker.

Would be interested to see if they would give us the ME1 regions, they are completely restored as you can see in the comics, but never shown ingame but the Council chamber. I guess they did it so they can't be screamed at they're just reusing assets and to have a more aesthetically pleasing view, where organics may want to take note.byne wrote...

Hey, the 16 year old me back then, who had never ever played an RPG before, got his mind blown to smitherins back then, at 4am in the morning, when he saw that mask come off. So, what's obvious is in the eyes of the beholder.
But yeah, I agree with comments about the being unconcious, retrospective in-game analysis with Chakwas, for example, in a hospital.
They could (and should) leave a lot for the players to find -- which is probably what the did with "lots of speculations from everyone" in the first place -- for the fun of it. No sane player will remain anti-IT after Bioware showed that they decided to go with it (IF this is what will happen).
