I think everyone has a hangover. It is Saturday, after all.

Hangovers are for the weak. JK but I'm very lucky with booze; only ever had one hangover...which came at our summer ball last year...we'd just done exams and I had accidentally drunken half a bottle of supermarket vodka...

Apparently I fell off a carousel and rolled down a hill with fireworks.

I'm trying to relight the thread come on, take the ******!

You've obviously not tried hard enough!  My worst hangover lasted nearly a week!

...and caused me to have a trip to the A&E, with suspected alcohol poisoning...

Mind you, I had drunk most of a bottle of tequilla along with several litres of cider.  So it was to be expected.

My second worst was after drinking over a litre of rum, mixed 50/50 with cola.  Tasted pretty good actually.  Oh, and half a dozen shots of whiskey.  And some cider.  And a considerable amount of pizza.  Suffice to say, I woke up in my friend's garden in rather confused state.

Heh, my only real hangover was also on the day after we finished our final school exams. Helluva night.
Though, I didn't roll down a hill with fireworks.

Hm...rolling down a hill with fireworks...ragdoll style? :D

Eek. Never noticed that before. First mission in ME1, on Eden Prime. As you're approaching the Spaceport you can hear a loud klaxon wail in the distance, carrying with the wind. Its like a higher-pitched Reaper horn.

/shudder

Huh, this tweet has interesting implications: https://twitter.com/...168035574448130 Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to suggest that Mac Walters was the one who wrote Saren. You know, the original example of indoctrination? Yeah.

Who gets accused of ruining Mass Effect most?

And who's actually been there since the beginning, and helped shape it?

Funny stuff.

Why am I reminded of what everyone says about George Lucas?

To me it suggests only that Mac Walters has been longer on board with the ME team...but then again, he could've asked anyone.
Hm, interesting implications indeed.

That is so desperately grasping at straws and doesn't actually mean anything. He was just answering a question at the best of his capabilities.

No ones 'grasping at straws' just wondering if Mac wrote Saren or not based on the tweet. You're the one grasping at straws to find a way to belittle people.

Not as far as I know.  Though Mike Gamble did mention learning a few things from Firewalker.  That could imply vehicle sequences.  Maybe.  Heck if I know.

Agreed.  I'm going to break my own rule of not feeding trolls in the event that any of them are reading right now and just say that you people need to try WAY harder if you want to get a rise out of us (Well, out of any of us other than Rifneno, but he's always like that, so... yeah.)

Well they said that we could possibly use the squad apearence pack when retaking Omega.

Dissapointing.

Honestly, I'm a troll because I state the fact that he just answered a question? You'd literally take any sort of tweet from a Bioware personal as an implication of "HEY TEHRE'S MORE TO THE ENDING THEN MEETS THE EYE".Talk about delusions of grandeur and bitter ignorance mixture with condescending, you must be a real hotshot in real life.

I admire the passion and courage at first in this thread, but as time progressed, and looking back and viewing the game from different angles and perspective, both business and design in general, you will realise that Indoctrination Theory WILL NEVER become a reality as part of an DLC. It will never, ever happend- and this thread will eventually die off in 2013 when people have come to realise this fact.

How anyone can review The Extended Cut as more cannon-fodder for a continued DLC, rather than a conclussive story-telling for Shepard and his/her comrades and the aftermath of the journey is beyond any logic, and is just a unlogical and desperate attempt at clinging onto false hope.

No ones 'grasping at straws' just wondering if Mac wrote Saren or not based on the tweet. You're the one grasping at straws to find a way to belittle people.

How does that tweet implicate anything other than, Mac Walters helped shape the character Saren, or he knows how the character development of the character was done. Patrick might have been occupied with other stuff, I honest to god, do not understand what this tweet is meant to implicate any sort of "Interesting" and "deep" discussion.

You know, again- back to design. You don't just make stuff up as you go on with a game. You need to design the characters first-hand, then script it all to make it all come full circle with the original design and intentions of the character. Then start piecing the game into place with the script, not exactly the other way around. This is more or less just basic 101 knowledge of any design. Movies, games- all require scripts first-hand, then adaption into the actual video presentation so to say. Patrick not being involved in the project from the get-go is perfectly understandable.

...

Go look up what 'grasping at straws' actually means.

Then come back and apologise.

First off, not going to apologise for something that I don't regret saying. You'll just have to man up and accept my opinion. As I do with yours, act like an adult if you are one. Secondly, the tweet and response was made to "implicate" more then it was originally intended by the poster, and that is seriously, grasping for straws for any signs of deeper connection to the whole-story arc. How is THAT not grasping at straws?

If you're uncapable of coming up with a reasonable logical explanation to that, I suggest you're the one to apologise for being so condescending and rude in that regard. If not, then let bygones be bygones and let it pass.

What's up with everyone in this thread being so ridicilously rude to people that are willingly questioning the very existance of this theory? Does the theory even hold now after all these months and "implications" that there's no more to it then the literal interepration of the ending, considering with the continous release of DLC and etc. This is all in-due seriousness, and I don't mean to cause any real sort of negativity. I'm just sparkling the interest and speculations whereas based on game design, loss of playerbase and what's the rational thought behind releasing a "post-canon DLC ending #2" (Extended Cut being #1) that would jeopardise the peoples thoughts on the existing ending?

So if they did release some sort of connection between the IT with the existing ending in a few months ahead of us, yet it failed to deliver on some expectations from the IT crowd, how would the people that were already satisfied with the ending react to the fact that their ending was completely screwed up and not real in the first place. It's the tension between the IT and real interpretation of the ending that makes this so inconcievable difficult to actually implement, but I'm willing to read and see what peoples from the IT perspective is on this. I get the feeling it might be bias, but it's all a matter of perspective and insight.

Does this post even remotely come across as a troll post? Jesus, people come on- you're better then that. :innocent:

Shepard can.

*whistles innocently*

Yes, I agree that it was a cheap shot by them to sell more DLC.
