You know what bothers me about Ashley?  Her voice actress.  Not in a bad way, I'm sure she's a lovely woman.  But she looks nothing like Ashley, and I always imagine her whenever Ashley is talking.  Its like someone wearing a mask, creeps me out.

Mind you, I guess none of the actors really look like their characters.  But Ash is the biggest offender.  The lips don't even seem to synch properly (in my head, at least).

Oh well.  At least she's not Chobot.

Not really. Ash is just a soldier. Kaidan is an officer, a tech expert, and a biotic. He's clearly the better choice. He is just boring as hell, so he dies.

I agree with this.

I honestly regretted picking her when playing ME3. What have they done to her? And that whisper-y bedroom voice...it's an odd design choice but if I had to decide, Kaiden's VA sounded better with it.

To be honest, I much preferred ME2 Tali over ME3 Tali.

What's wrong with Jacob? Sure he's boring but I found him a lot better of a level headed squadmate in ME2 than most of the people on your crew in that game. A lot of them had issues, but Jacob only had that one problem with his dad and even that didn't bother him much. He's the type of guy you WANT to have on your team, loyal as hell and always focused.

Although the character assassination in ME3 wasn't cool in the least.

Me too.  She was much fiestier. 

And she was one of the few main cast to not really get much treatment from the art department.  Liara, Garrus, Kaiden, Ashley...  They all got new and distinct models.  But not Tali.  Bastards.

True, but everyone likes to say Ash got plastic surgery for ME3, so I thought that's the angle you were coming from.

All she did was let her hair down and put on a little makeup.

My list of chosen LI's is... interesting.  Tali was not the first, let's just put it that way.

That was probably the worst thing in ME1 - finding armour for squadmates they could actually bloody use.

I pay so little attention to Jacob that I had to look up a picture of him to make sure he had a beard.

Apparently even google finds him boring, as they provided me with like two pictures of Jacob, and like 100 pictures of the shirtless werewolf boy from Twilight.
