Well that's a relatively small one, compared to...say...the main character being Indoctrinated and that ending we've had for 9 months didn't actually happen and now you have to pay to see the real ending.
I imagine the backlash would have been pretty brutal.
Would be funny
Bioware: You have to buy the IT dlc.

ITers: Happy face, yet pissed off face.

They could call it something like "Aftermath". Would be a big transition DLC between ME3 and ME4, explaining how the two mesh together, what happens to all your squadmates, what happened to the Reapers, etc.
And mention nothing about Shepard being in it. Or that its actually about Shepard's Indoctrination, and ME4 is a continuation of the war against the Reapers (with or without Shep).
Thus it wouldn't be lying in the adverts, and wouldn't reveal anything spoilerish!

So, no ME3 GOTY.
No IT announcement. There probably won't be an IT now, these awards would've been the prime time to announce something.
If we don't get an announcement confirming IT, then Bioware are fools. They would've missed a HUGE oppurtunity just to keep their "artistic integrity" safe.
O_o
ME wins=fans like literal ending
ME loses=fans hate it
Whether or not ME won or lost the GOTY doesn't determine whether or not I like the IT ending (which I do).)
IT ending is just theory now
I like IT but it's just theory
In the way gravity is a theory...
Edit:
If the IT were a theory just as much as gravity, more people would believe it. Gravity is proven, IT is not.

Except that making DLC costs craploads of money, especially if it'd be something big like the IT DLC. You can bet your ass neither EA nor BioWare would want to lose another penny after the EC.masster blaster wrote...

Don't give people too much credit. I'm sure there are some people out there who don't believe in Gravity. Or remotely understand what it is.
Though there is a difference between the Force of Gravity and the Theory of Gravity. For one thing, the Theory of Gravity is actually wrong (and known to be wrong) - its just as close to correct as we correct know, but sometimes doesn't work under certain conditions.
Yeah I know. Mind = blown when I found out that.

I keep hearing this said, but it's not like WoG is always reliable. They told us lots of lies before. It wouldn't exactly be the first time. Anyone remember that whole debate about HAL being a metaphor for IBM in 2001: A Space Odyssey? Kubrick, the writer, flat out said it was nonsense. He had characters in-universe say it was nonsense. 4 decades later, they release a high definition version of the movie that shows some additional "hints" that pretty much confirmed the theory.
Everybody lies. Including writers.

As much as I've been enjoying MP recently, I will say this. It has serious issues - namely Geth being stagger-happy bastards who can quite often two shot a non-defensive character even on Silver, and certain weapons being utter garbage for no good reason.
Finally unlocked a decent N7 character though - the N7 Paladin Sentinel is pretty fun, very tech-spammy. But again, its another Sentinel with no Biotics, which is just weird.

LOL yeah. Everyone complains about the geth stagger. They said they'd look into it. What did they do? Added 2 NEW ways for them to stagger. One of which even staggers the kroguard, which was previously immune to geth stagger. Stupidity like that is why I say ME3 MP is garbage.
