Oh come on, I don't drink by myself in my room.
What I mean is, it's just really really fun to go out drinking with friends. Last Thursday was a great night out. Met the girl my friends are living with next year. Hell yeah I'm looking forward to meeting her again after a night of good conversation, helped slightly by the delicious numbing of fresh beer.
Hell, some of the best conversations I've had since September with Banshee and Punny on XBL have been whilst I was intoxicated.
It's not killing my brain cells as much either, as since I discovered alcohol I've actually done better grades wise

5 star post.
While drinking certainly loosens me up socially, it doesn't help me become more socially intelligent, as in witty and enjoyable. I just forget that how I'm basically a social autist. Reality is the same, the point of view just becomes blurry. And besides, I don't enjoy the kind of humor people who like alcohol share, for example the kind one finds at the Oktoberfest.
So I enjoy not having drank a lot since graduating from school. And it's great, I'm more focused and I can solve equations more properly.
What can one ask more?
