Looking through the small number of photos of me on Facebook is quite funny.

I'm always the guy in the background, almost hidden entirely from view.

Alcohol is amazing. Only if you're 18 and up obviously...or 21 if you're American.

First world problem: Going to California for a uni field trip at Easter and we can't drink...what the hell are we going to do? :L

Otherwise I'll just stand there and stare at people.

Which is probably rather creepy based on your descriptions of yourself.

Pretty much.

If I didn't wear glasses I imagine people might mistake me for a Viking raider.

People are creeped out that I know so much about history. It's not my fault, my father is a historian! I grew up with history everywhere!

I love those kinds of photos. There's one where my face is in the corner in the background, with a look of severe disgust towards this guy who I genuinely do despise...it makes me giggle when I see it.

When I used to use facebook, my dog was the focus of all my photos, sometimes guest starring me.

Oh come on, I don't drink by myself in my room.

What I mean is, it's just really really fun to go out drinking with friends. Last Thursday was a great night out. Met the girl my friends are living with next year. Hell yeah I'm looking forward to meeting her again after a night of good conversation, helped slightly by the delicious numbing of fresh beer.

Hell, some of the best conversations I've had since September with Banshee and Punny on XBL have been whilst I was intoxicated.

It's not killing my brain cells as much either, as since I discovered alcohol I've actually done better grades wise :P

It's more because everytime someone asks me something about history, I usually end up bombarding them with an array of facts about that certain period :P

In the end, they just sit there looking at me with an astounded expression.

I used to have a friend I played WoW with who was constantly drunk.  Constantly.

Suffice to say, he was Scottish.

I'm the same! Just learned to accept it and laugh at myself. People don't actually judge you on how you look (if they do...are they actually worth anything? No) just gotta have a laugh and love everyone round ya :D

5 star post.

While drinking certainly loosens me up socially, it doesn't help me become more socially intelligent, as in witty and enjoyable. I just forget that how I'm basically a social autist. Reality is the same, the point of view just becomes blurry. And besides, I don't enjoy the kind of humor people who like alcohol share, for example the kind one finds at the Oktoberfest.

So I enjoy not having drank a lot since graduating from school. And it's great, I'm more focused and I can solve equations more properly.
What can one ask more?
