I seem to remember that T78 means either "crime against nature" or "infrasound."

So we have two trinkets which play no part in the game and have no real inventory slots and are not decorating our LI or quarters. Hmm. Bet there's a third

Nah, that was Code 89.

Oh. Someone posted an actual medical code though. I had read it and thought it was ingenious that they found it.

I think it medically means generalized adverse effects from something, and then subsets of the code range between substance allergies and other things.

What is the second?  If you mean the one Shaira gives you in ME1 - you use it to unlock the sphere with a vision that was discussed just a few pages ago.

Banshee found out it meant an abomination against nature or something. Basically 'Reapers'

Yeah, the one next to the kid in Vancouver

I think it was DD who found a medical code for the T78 but I can't remember which one it was she pulled it from

Doomsday device is a she? I'd never have called it.

Gotta love the wiki article on Chekhov's gun:

"Failure to observe the rule of "Chekhov's gun" may be cited by critics when discussing plot holes. The deliberate defiance of this principle may take the form of a red herring: something which the audience is meant to assume will be important to the plot's outcome, but ultimately is not."

Remember that crime against nature was just one convenient fitting definition found, it's by no means damning.
Edit: Also notice it appears to be 'stop, code 89' not 'stop code 89'

Did eve give us that crystal? If so, that's one unused chekov gun I say.

Yes, it's such a Chekov's gun that I kind of believe that it was either A) part of a mission that got the ax, or B) not used yet... weirdly, it's a Chekov's gun both literally and metaphorically because it's physically unused and the metaphor it represents is not (yet?) fulfilled for Shepard.

But don't forget that for the last 20min of the story, someone decide to left the original writers behind and write what he later call "artistic"...

I believe it's the "stop code 89"

Red herring is a form of "Ignoratio Elenchi"

Ignoratio Elenchi means "irrelevant conclusion"

Who wants to bet that the FINAL "barcode" thing released by Bioware of the Red Herring was a reference to the FINAL scenes being irrelevant?

Oh yeah, did anyone ever figure out why after the destroy ending we get a message from Kaidan/Ashley saying "I'll come down see you" or something?

Because...that's kinda a big deal if it is not just a glitch

I think that was after every ending. Still not seen anything proving it to be a glitch though.

Someone on the forums (without proof, heh) told me months ago that it was a glitch and that that message was supposed to be sent at the beginning.

But that makes no sense to me because when incarcerated Shep runs into Kaidan or Ashley, it's implied to be by chance, and implied to be the first time they'd seen each other since Horizon. I don't see how K or A messaging Shep's datapad before this chance meeting would make any sense at all. Shep doesn't even know K or A is a Major.

Is it just me or does the 'stop' look red.

Hmmm... "stop - crime against nature"
Stop being red so, "Destroy - crime against nature"
"Destroy - Reapers"

That's why I thought it was 'stop, code' not 'stop code' the latter of which was used to find the 'crime against nature thing'.

This has already been debunked ages ago, I seem to recall. It was just a glitch, because at other people, that didn't happen.
