I must have missed it. What speculation did Omega spark?

Javik has some interesting mail from the datapad app.
Foolish. You allowed a machine access to your mind? What if it infected you?
The other species are too optimistic. Reapers can't be wished away. Hope did not save my people.
Let those mutated asari be a warning against failure. The whole galaxy could end the same.
And this one, because it is awesome:
Thresher maws have gotten much bigger. Too big to ride now. A shame.
I replayed it as well and didn't get that line again...demersel wrote...
Ok - I replayed it - same result - no EDI's line about confirming that this is the real world. No Joker's line about how it is good we have an unshacled AI to tell us what is real.
I'm REALLY scared.

I remember I brought EDI there but then I realize I never finish that mission with her. (I change her with Liara so I get Tali giving her blessing thingy...)
Also in that mission when I brought Tali and Liara, EDI will make a witty remark when Tali and Liara were discussing their sexperience with mr commander. To me, it only means that EDI has always keeping tab on Shepard and his/her crew no matter when and where, a bit excessive I say.
And why EDI don't give confirmation when she came ashore in that mission, did she know something we're not. Its not the first time she witheld information on purpose. EDI you bad girl you.

in the original endings... if you got sheps breath scene, you heard indoctrination voices right up till he took his breath? why remove them in the EC?

The real question here - why make this particular dialoge differentiate AT ALL?? Regardless of what is the trigger for it.
You do know that this can be only a bug, right?demersel wrote...

One thing I can think of that I haven't tried yet is talking to EDI first...demersel wrote...

Maybe they removed this line in Leviathan or in Omega? Is it possible to get now at all?

You just pointed out something I never realized -- the EC adds MUSIC to the breath scene! And it's the victory Mass Effect theme! Ugh, my brains! How did I not notice this? Le original.
So all those arguments about "the breath scene should be removed, bleh bleh blargh, easter egg" are kinda moot, IMO, because they actually accentuated it.
I never heard EDI say anything. She never said anything when Joker said that all of it could be a simulations.demersel wrote...

I'm not sure how else to answer that.

This sentece from EDI caught my interest:
"Liara recently requested assistance in calculating whether the mass effect is a phenomenon that occurs only in our universe, or in all possible universes. It maybe that our laws of physics only occur in a finite area, a bubble if you will, in an ocean of other possibilities. I'm speculating whether, if you went far enough out or created enough energy you could reach a place where one plus one equals three, everything would change, all matter, all matter, all the underlying math of the universe will be unrecognizable to us."
does she just foreshadowed a synthesis? and that synthesis, is a parallel universe, which makes more sense than starbrats explanation.
