I'm pretty certain that they ACTUAL Leviathan of Dis was a real, you know, Leviathan, but the Reaper that the batarians actually recovered was a Reaper that found the Leviathan and was killed.

P.S. I'm sorry if this debate was actually over, but I just thought I'd add my two cents in the event that anyone needed two cents. :P

What the heck am I supposed to do with cents? Annoy charity collectors?

True, true.  Make that twenty dollars... unless Slender Man is here in which case, screw you guys, I want to live! :P

Well it's better than pocket change but foreign money is still great for annoying people.

Pfft, actor Cox is sexier than scientician Cox. I think it's the voice.

He-he "scientician"  When he's not standing on mountaintops looking wistfully into the distance, he conducts research on the Higg's boson with his trusty fantabulous contrapulator.

This is Page 2600 so you know what that means...there is only 400 more pages before we hit 3000 before Bioware announces that Shepherd is a Renegade Reaper destroying his own and we were all indoctrination for 3 games lol.
On a serious note it stinks we won't really get all the truth until the end of product in earl spring 2013 i believe.

Hmm. This line just struck me when I heard it again. "Information is power and they knew everything about us." Vigil about the Reapers. He thinks they got their information from the Citadel. But when you think about the suspicions some have about glyph... makes you wonder. The Reapers don't tend to put all their eggs in one basket. There's a lot of information that won't be on the Citadel, especially if there's a schism between governments like this cycle has. Barely anything about the Terminus Systems will be on the Citadel. But if the Reapers had a centralized spy network, organics who didn't realize who they were really working for... what is it Liara said on the Shadow Broker's ship? No user restrictions or controls of any kind. The Shadow Broker's network is an incredible piece of technology that's designed to be used without being understood. Just like the Citadel, the mass relays, and the Crucible. And no matter what you do in the entire series, the Shadow Broker WILL be on the Normandy in ME3. Plot armor that has yet to serve a purpose.

The correct line is "no saveguards or user restrictions". Plot armor is to find the Crucible on Mars, it was even planned to choose in ME3 if you save her. It doesn't matter if it got deleted or not, she served her purpose and these assumptions are baseless. Especially if we see in opt out Glyph "leading" one of the next cycles to victory.

For someone whose post count consists mostly of telling people they can't know things for sure, you do love to put forth your assumptions as certainties.

I thought you were being serious.
Besides it doesn't need any more content, it is already perfect.

If it's the logical conclusion of what you see and not totally random things like "Glyth is Evil"™
At least I don't need to bend my quotes to fit my theory.

I dont think they understand how banners work, since despite apparently disliking IT, they have an IT banner.

While watching the trailer for the worryingly CGI infested The Hobbit this weekend, a few ideas flitted through my brain like errant Pyjaks.... back to the hopelessly tongue-in-cheek Lord of the Rings theory!

The Last Alliance / Victory Fleet:

Though facing impossible odds, the rag-tag combined armies of (the galaxy / elves and men) move on (Earth / Mordor) in an attempt to distract the forces of (the Reapers / Sauron) long enough for (Shepard / Frodo & Sam) to pass through enemy-controlled territory and reach (the Citadel / Mount Doom), where they can end (the Reapers / Sauron's) reign of terror by (activating the Crucible / destroying the One Ring).

While we're at it:

TIM/Saruman:
Corrupted by (the Reapers / Sauron) an ally who has helped you in the past (TIM / Saruman) wages his own personal war against you, using hybridised forces of (implanted Cerberus soldiers / Uruk Hai) to hinder your efforts at every turn from his fortress at (Cronos Station / Isengard) in a misguided belief that he can control (the One Ring / the Reapers) and use their power for himself.

Now we're Tolkien.

I was just quoting ITers.
You have an IT banner it says IT, I have an indoctrination  banner in which I headcanon Indoctrination.
The difference is I know Bioware did an awful job and ME3 is bad writing, which they stand by.

I am surprised you guys are not defending Casey and Mac and arguing that they should continue to be allowed to continue IT(as you see it) by being the head's of the project.

I see what you did there with the underlined!

I like how when they toss the ring into Mount Doom, it explodes and their friends think Frodo and Sam are dead... Until they a rescued by Gandalf (someone who both Frodo and Sam previously thought was dead!)

Ultimately the real difference is...
I want Bioware to do IT because I know ME3 is terrible writing and asking them to save it is the only hope.
ITers however are waiting for Bioware to use IT, some are even content with the game.

I admit there was doubt back in March and April as to what Bioware was about, but eventually it became clear it was just bad writing and not a master plan.

Organics thought that the Leviathan of Dis (a Reaper) was killed by another Reaper. The point of the DLC was to find the killer (who was assumed to be that another Reaper). Instead at the end it was revealed that the killer is not a Reaper but an organic being.

Yes, some sort of Reaper.
