question is how can anyone deny its a dream when shep wakes up right at the end. in rubble. concrete rubble. with object rho (or similar) in the background. with rebar clearly visible.
thinking about colours, mix em all together and you get white. the colour of the beam. so lets associate white with the beam. turn off any off the colours and ..... no white light = no beam. maybe thats the point. the only way you can turn off the beam is to destroy one of the colour guns. (red)
the 'dream' could be taking place in another 'reality' to our own. the decisions made affecting our current reality. turn off the beam. that is the key to victory. make reapers easy targets, destroy them utterly = no more reaper threat on our own terms.
or biowares main writers could just suck.
right at the beginning of the pan/shot. jeez its right there stuck out of the concrete, clearly visible. also as the shot pans across you can see in the background what looks like rho.....not geth tech.. reaper tech.

It is interesting how your rebar is always between the "concrete" blocks.
Just look at it

In one case it's even connected to the metal plates

In addition just compare the size. It cannot be rebar.

Even if it takes another billion years they will eventually fail. The Reapers accept this reality.spotlessvoid wrote...
The cycles that have continued for billions of years is now some crumbling system? They let the cycle build a super weapon that can destroy them for militarily strategic reasons?

Why didn't they give up on the previous cycle then?
It is inevitable right?
Why even start? lol
If anything giving up agaisnt the protheans made more sense
Since the war was dragged out and all

This cycle showed them the Cycle is bound to fail. Keepers got modified, the plans for the Crucible which thought to be eradicated resurfaced, organics developing a means to control indoctrinated forces (even if the head of that group is indoctrinated himself lateron), and organics about to be able to destroy all Reapers.

OT:
Anyone seen the trailer for that crazy Iron Sky movie. W.T.F. Hollywood?
Umm, Iron Sky is an indie production, which has quite a bit of crowdsourcing going on (kind of pioneering aspects of that concept, in fact), made by a couple of Finnish guys.
They do have a rather twisted sense of humour, which upends the presentation of "good" and "evil" in a rather disconcerting manner
They used to have it available for free download, but don't seem to anymore - they probably began to charge for it, in order to help fund Iron Sky.

And what is your view?
1. Do they want the crucible built and used?
2. Did they only want synthesis?

How is MS irrelevant or different to the thousands of Marauders you shot before, which also tried to kill you?spotlessvoid wrote...
And your marauder shields argument is irrelevant in IT.
The Reapers also miscalculate what it needs to keep Shep down in Arrival.
Also:
1. No.
2. Yes if the option presents itself.

And you really want me to believe that a few hiccups mean it's all crashing down? Like it was all smooth sailing for billions of years but now they're screwed? The intelligence was smart enough to create Reapers, relays, Citadel, Indoctrination, etc....but he's too dumb to come up with a counter move to the crucible? Like changing the part of the citadel the crucible docks with? Or building a new citadel with a different design?

The point is the cycles will always adapt. The specifics don't matter but these "few hiccups" as you call them are quite serious.spotlessvoid wrote...
So why do they do the least possible to stop the crucible?

Nothing says the next cycle would be ready. All they do know is at that moment synthesis is possible.spotlessvoid wrote...
Why not just plant crucible designs that only offer synthesis? It's not like this cycle knows wtf they're building.
Also every Cycle adapts and changes the Crucible, just look at the changes we do through the war assets. Point is a Crucible that allows synthesis always also allows destroy.

You assume it's just flicking a switch and it just turns off.spotlessvoid wrote...
Again , Reapers counter cycle adaptations for billions of years, but now it's all done for? Why, because the Reapers don't take the crucible seriously? How does a group so cavalier and so blatantly reckless last that long?
