Btw, what a sh*tty concept high-EMS Destroy vs. low-EMS Destroy is...

destroying the tube apparently has different degrees of actions. To me this only makes sense if I assume that the Guardian somehow affects this.
Assume face value:
high-EMS: Guardian allows to destroy Reapers and synthetics only.
low-EMS: Guardian, displeased with your attack force's readiness, decides to also destroy Earth's population.

???

There is no other other explaination that makes sense. If the Guardian didn't have a hand in this then the effects of shooting a tube depend on the size and strength of the fleet. Which doesn't make sense.

So the Reapers still have a hand in your choices no matter what. Might as well assume that you are being indoc'd right away.

It's my understanding that it has to do with how much damage the crucible takes during its approach.  A high ems means enough assets were available, (even if they're 25 multiplayer promoted krogan firing shotguns from a nearby asteroid Posted Image), to prevent the Reapers from causing a lot of damage.  Hence in a high EMS Starbinger says the crucible device is largely intact.  Whereas in low EMS, a number of their strikes do get through, casuing severe damage to the crucible's functionality.

There should have been a low EMS synthesis, so we could see it go wrong.
and see the races become some sort of weird organic robot mutation... then die, oh and they vomit green before dying:sick:

But isn't the crucible supposed to be a giant battery? I'd have thought it taking damage would make it just not work instead of making the reaper-code deleting flash of light also melt flesh.

And so I again feel convinced that the EC establishes a good balance between the different interpretations.

For some points, on others they messed up because of time and other constraints. You can also see in that video a bug Leviathan introduced as it doesn't play the visions anymore.

That's...what I would expect of a real mass mutation going wrong. But that would make the Synthesis ending less romantic and thus less perfect looking.

Problem with that is you only get the option because it's valid. Having mutated stuff that is not viable doesn't serve the Guardians purpose.

Yes, one big blissfully happy synthesised family, marching happily towards these new "homes" that the Reapers are so helpfully constructing for us.

Ignore the smell of burnt flesh.  And the slick, red, floors.  And the distant screaming.  You are synthesised.  You are happy.  All is well.

Oh the ones Shep sees while listening to the Guardian? Ok...

And btw, I love how this small "Game Saved" thingy pops up when the cutscene triggers after you pick your choice. And of course this is only for the game to know what cutscenes to play...:bandit:

The game doesn't need the save, but it's nice if your PC would crash. Also on PC you can save it in another profile to always have a quick reference for the ending :D and of course to look through the save file, where opt out for example is showing that everyone dies.

"we´re at home son, we´re at home" John Husk says as he and his son Husky walks towards the horizon where new adventures awaits them.

I´m pretty sure this is what happens according to the slideshows

Wow ... with all that connected stuff, everybody in the whole galaxy would know what happened to her/his relatives. Look, that huskthingy over there - that's my son/daughter/wife/husband/grandma/grandpa ...
Not to mention Krogans and Turians and the new Brute family-members.
Krogan: "He got my fathers arms ..."
Turian: "... and my mothers head ..."

Damn ... thinking about that ... that's really sick stuff.

Yes, you're correct. I forgot those EC lines.
Damn, it's been at least a month since I played ME3 the last time. I should at least try and get my facts straight.

So, sorry for that.

It's not just a line. There's an entire new cutscene in EC showing Reapers attacking and damaging the Crucible in low EMS

My favorite EC scene was the one where a Reaper capital ship grabs a cruiser or something in its tentacles and just starts slowly crushing it. What, was it out of ammo? In what circumstance was grabbing it and crushing it the safest and most efficient method to destroy it?

That was Derpy the Reaper, the others wanted to leave him in Dark Space, but he gets so terribly lonely. That cycle was a bad one for Reaper making.

(I apologize profusely for this stupid joke)

Rule of cool, man- rule of cool...
It's the Reaper analogue to a headbutting krogan I guess.
Edit: And since I am on top, I will shamelessly promote my IT-Flavour poll!

You might want to give him a Tanto instead of a Katana as commiting Seppuku with a Katana would be extremely hard to pull of due to the length of the blade:whistle:
