There's another thing that bugs me about the citadel "rearranging" itself to conveniently get Anderson to the control panel first. Firstly this happens completely off camera, so we only have Anderson's word about it happening. That kind of thing might be fine in a radio play, but we happen to be playing a video game - a visual medium. Having a character describe something important to us doesn't cut it, we need to see it.
Secondly, if the citadel is indeed rearranging itself, then it's doing so in a way that makes it easier for those pesky organics to invade its most critical locations, not less. This is before the crucible docks and supposedly "changes" the Catalyst to make him all friendly and helpful.
Yeah, that's not suspicious at all...

Well, the Wraith is an obscenely ranged and powerful shotgun and krogan will do impressive melee damage even with full shield upgrades. (He will also get more damage protection in Rage.) Also, Lift Grenades can instantly kill Assault Troopers on gold (usually 3 or 4 at a time!) and krogan are actually really fast while sprinting. Almost as fast as drell.
