So, I do hear, "Serve us," from Harby. I wonder if anyone has tried to extract that sound and clear up the distortion. Would that be possible?

I don't know how to clear up the distortion, but a while back I managed to extract the file itself. Think I still have it. It's not a small file where he says "Serve us", but the whole Normandy evac scene.

Here we go

Maybe some of the sound tech guys around here can do something with it. I'm only good at encoding simple videos.

Hello again!

I totally agree with those who think that one ending would be best... and I think you are not to far from the truth. Here is my theory.

Mass Effect 3 is over. There was the game, the extended cut and 3 DLCs (Prothean, Leviathan and Omega). THE END!

Suddenly, they announce Mass Effect 4! Now, there needs to be a link between Mass Effect 3 and Mass Effect 4, right?

Introducing, "The truth" Epilogue supplement DLC!! One ending where your choices from the previous games will matter as the one and only "real ending" unfolds before your eyes and sets the tone for ME4 with "insert plot twist"!!

This is not new. It's the exact same tactic Bioware used to link ME2 and ME3 together with "the arrival".

Only time will tell if I'm right or wrong... Thoughts? Speculations?

I tend to go with the armax arsenal set. It looks really good on femshep.

I recall liking the Hahne-Kedar set a lot. I think my next playthrough will be a FemShep one, and I'll find an armour set that looks *ahem* good on her. Posted Image

Exactly! Arrival was released over a year after ME2 and was the final DLC. I think it's just silly to lose hope when there's still more coming.

Do you guys equip your Shepard for looks or stats? Personally I care more about appearance.

Looks for sure. Full default but with light blue lights, like he should have.

Thats what I did in ME2. My ME3 outfit is way more noticeable. Basically Church's color of blue but with purple hightlights on my armor and blue lights.

It looks better than it sounds like it would.

I guess I'm the only one that runs with all black armour and no lights?

Edit: If I remember correctly there is a really slowed down version for the Harbinger noise in the files.

I'm not sure if Mass Effect 4 will be a sequel, but it would be kind of interesting to say that Mass Effect 3 was just one bad dream or nightmare as mentioned several times throughout the game, and you haven't actually defeated the Reapers yet.

Not sure how people would react to that though.

0:42 - 0:48 Is that Thane kicking ass like a true badass? Looks like Elipse mercs, so its very likely its him. That's awesome, why wasn't that in the game?

Agreed! We really need epic finale music! "An End, Once And For All" is a great track, but not and epic one.

It was. That's a stylized version of his recruitment mission, from the ME2 cinematic trailer.

I think it is epic and the greatest song in ME3, but not "epic" in the sense of "YEAH! I BEAT EM!!"

Its more like "Sit back and watch."

Random: It seriously autocorrected the word "Its" to "Mitsubishi"....

I want to know who designed this.

Maybe that's what the final DLC will do--actually defeat them for real. I don't even think they've mentioned any Reapers in Mass Effect 4. As far as I've read, it's a new story with a new character unlike Shepard.

I doubt that, I don't think it could be big or long enough to actually defeat all the Reapers. I think we'll take Earth back, and leave the actual war for the next game.

I'd be perfectly happy with giving the Reapers a bloody nose and bringing the war down to a managable level for ME4.

Its why I considered the idea of Leviathan being a rogue Reaper to be one way of making the war 'winnable'.  Alas, but still the Leviathans could somehow equal the balance out somehow.  Not that I trust them to do it for a reason other then their own dominance.

Reminds me a bit of The Devil's Advocate, though there's a stronger theme there than this theory.

Harbinger's laser blast triggering a figurative/metaphysical space is about as much slack as I can give a non-literal interpretation of ME3. Starting at the vehicle crash already irks me. The entire game hand-waved away as a vision in Arrival? Yikes. If they went that route, I'd sooner prefer the entire series simply being the mental vision Shepard sees in the Prothean beacon.

Though this game was considered the actual war? I mean they kept pushing the idea of an all out galactic war, or maybe that was just marketing. Then again, you could be right, because they said it was originally designed to be a trilogy, but they might go beyond the third game if need be.

The reapers are far too powerful to be completely defeated in one battle. At best we'll deliver a black eye to the reapers and cause the bulk of their force to retreat from the sol system.

Isn't that why we built the Crucible? To defeat the Reapers. It was said several times throughout the game that conventional victory is suicide more or less. Not to mention, we went though all that trouble to hire those scientists and such to build it, but we don't use it by the end of the game (non-literal point of view). Don't want to bring up conventional victory in an IT thread, but just saying.

Problem is, I can see the writers pulling something like that.  Its been done so many times before (Dallas being a prime example of huge retconning purely to bring one character back from the dead).

But I dislike the concept, and in my opinion would take too much from the narrative.  Not to mention it has less basis in logical deduction.

Heck, enough people here are annoyed that having the ending be a hallucination would remove the Anderson farewell conversation (or rather, render it 'fake') - but at least it leaves it open to happening for real next time.

Heck, I want a scene where everyone is in a bar somewhere sunny and you can have conversations with everyone before the credits roll and we get a final epilogue (like Dragon Age: Origins if the Warden survives).  Having Zaeed, Anderson and Wrex all sharing stories of their pasts would be epic.  And Garrus being taught how to play darts by the VS while EDI is interupting constantly with suggestions to improve the design of the darts for maximum accuracy.  And Tali getting sloshed while teasing Liara.  And Jacob can serve the drinks, if he keeps quiet.
