Does anyone else think the League of One were traitors, or were caught in some giant political conspiracy because the Salarians didn't want to hide anything from their new Asari allies? who knows maybe it will tie into Cerberus and IT somehow.

Wha? I didn't know anything about the League of One except that there were those medallions spread around the galaxy. Is there more info on them somewhere? Mass Effect lore I haven't read? Must remedy situation!

I think the Salarian Union cut them off, yes. However, since they've been dead for centuries, i don't think they'll have any importance except as a history lesson.Arashi08 wrote...

It certainly seems like the salarian government wanted them dead. Salarians are smart enough to realize what happens if you release the identities of the people in groups like the League of One.

Maybe, but why would they want them dead? They were apparently an unvaluable asset before the Salarians were so concerned with appeasing the Asari. Releasing the information to the Asari government seems reasonable I suppose; if they were going to form a Council together It might look bad if the Salarians were hiding something from the Asari. So it could be possible that the League killed the Cabinet to save themselves from their enemies, but not necessarily because the government wanted them dead.byne wrote...

Needless to say, I'm sickened at the latest example of ignorance by hateful individuals who love to capitalise on tragedy to put forward their own bigotted agendas. I'd gladly throw them all down a pit together and let them tear themselves to pieces over scraps of food.

Hmm. Seems every species has its Cerberus. Turians had a TIM, but fortunately Shepard killed him.
Even the Krogan, to a degree. There was a scientist on Virmire that was running experiments to 'cure' the Genophage and create an army of tank-born Krogan for Saren.

I think Wreav is just an average Krogan. Aggressive, dim-witted, bigotted and arrogant. Which might sound racist against them, but for the most part they do seem to be that way. They only improve with a lot of hard work from strong-willed individuals. Even Wrex finds it hard not to act that way at times.

I think Okeer was probably the closest Krogan equivalent to TIM we've got so far, they're surprisingly similar in alot of ways.Andromidius wrote...

glad to see the League of One topic generated at least some buzz, maybe i'll have some ammo to use against my friend, or maybe HE will have some ammo idk lol. But now for some reason I want someone to go on ME3 MP and somehow make a League of One clan comprised entirely of Salarian characters of various classes...odd
well I better go to bed for real this time, need to get up early and all!

Indeed. I shouldn't be suprised though, its the latest attack in a 30-year long war against modern culture by the media (and arguably longer, but not as widespread, since the 1950's). Whether it be Rock and Roll, Heavy Metal, Rap, Video Games (not just violent ones!), Dungeons and Dragons, fantasy fiction... You name it, some ignorant will falsely link it with a violent crime and people will panic en-mass about it.
Forgetting or ignoring the fact such things have happened since the dawn of time, and are actually on the decline again after a spike during the 1980's and early 90's.
If me and my friends here all went onto a Christian Church's Facebook page (not even a big church - just some local one) and said anything remotely as horrible in connection to a death, we'd be in the wrong. Yet they can do the same to Mass Effect, calling for it to be banned, calling all fans 'sick', and declaring we'll all burn in hell?
**** that.

He had direct dealings with the Collectors as well, if I remember correctly. And had zero interest in curing the genophage, and was only interested in 'genetic purity'.
Interesting.

There's one important difference between Okeer and TIM. TIM's too much of a gutless coward to sacrifice himself for his beliefs.

Abubup! He was interested in the Genophage, not by curing it, but by ignoring it, he looked on his method as a way of rendering the Genophage meaningless with the ideal Krogan.
He did have dealings with the Collectors, and was greatly concerned with Krogan perfection however.

More likely he sees himself as too indespensable to be sacrificed so rudely. The arrogant son of a ****.

Possibly that too. But the impression I got from the scene where Kai Leng had to choose between saving TIM or preventing the monster they'd created of Paul Grayson from getting loose was that TIM didn't have the balls to sacrifice himself when he knew damn well it was more important that "Grayson" be stopped.

Urgh.
One reason I'm glad to be in the UK, we have very little gun crime. Even gang shootings are so rare it makes the news whenever they happen.
Of course, we have other problems. But at least firearms aren't one of them.

It's not nearly the problem it's made out to be in America either.
