BTW, guys, there is a curious thing in the Final Hours app for Mass Effect 3 - at one point there is a concept art for Vancouver - when everything shiny and well - and you can use your cursor to paint that picture off to reveal the underlaying image of the same art but with Reapers attacking and distruction everywhere.

The thing is - that After the EC - that might make much more interesting sense - that particular concept art really reminds me of the EC slides. What if we could peel off the Illusion and reveal what is there for real? ))) Or what if we're supposed at least to think that way about the EC slides?

BTW here's the concept art in question - Posted Image

To be fair, he kind of deserved the hate. I loved the "take a shot whenever Jimmy gets superpowers" drinking game. Better have a krogan liver though.

As well as synthesis, 3 also has a (presumably) metaphorical battle between Clark and Superman, which is mildly relevant. If only TIM had thought to throw Shepard in a trash compactor.

Also no, no details about the DLC are confirmed and Blur is just bing overzlous as usual.

Oh yeah, and then he went back and sealed up the oil tanker with his heat vision. Because nothing could go wrong with using a laser hot enough to flash melt metal on a few million gallons of oil.

Anyway folks, way past my bedtime; see you all in the afternoon; when I wake up. I wish it wasn't 6 AM.

1 - remeber how the breath scene used to have music, but in the EC it doesn't anymore?
Well, that music from the breath scene is in the "We faught as a United Galaxy" track in the EC soundtrack - the one that plays in refuse. The curious part is that that music kicks in in the track after a pause, and it is actually pretty long and cheerful in the end - i'm not sure whether it does play in game that part of that track.

The music in destroy with the EC would be a huge clash with the slides, imo it's good they took it out.
Also the pause: the first part is Shepard giving her speech, fade to black, fade to random planet where we see the capsule. The pause ends with the fade from black. Though if you look at the visualization you see there is no actual pause but the tracks overlap.

For the concept: such studies are quite common. There is also one for Thessia, but I guess not in the Final Hours.

I've replayed the mission on Horizon in ME2 and I'm quite positive that the VS is not who he/she seems to be. Why? Kaidan (in my Renegade playthrough he's the VS) is shown walking with Lilith when the seeker swarm attacks them. Both he and Lilith are stinged and frozen in a stasis field. Then after Shepard and squaddies have dealt with the Collector invasion, a mechanic appears shouting that Lilith has been taken away in the ship. How in the world Kaidan could appear in that scene unharmed if he was frozen together with the others (in close proximity to Lilith)? Also, he chimes in and immediately knows what the mechanic was talking about. It almost looks as if he was hiding behind a crate listening to the conversation. He speaks calmly (though that might be due to Sbarge's VA) and never mentions the abducted colonists as if that wasn't important.

EDIT: Furthermore, notice what theme is playing in the background. Vigil. I know that scene was always though to be a kind of reunion but given the above that theme seems inappropriate there. As if the game wanted to make the player relax and don't pay attention to obvious inconsistencies.

Not so much the flowers themselves as what they represent thematically...
They are a hybridization which appears innocuous but is actually extremely hazardous...

Use extreme caution when working with all third-generation plants.

I love how ambiguous the word 'plant' is.

There is a new floor that has been added to the normandy in ME3 - between the engineering level, and the sub core basement - you can see it (and even that there is a door from the elevator there) - between the cables when on the starwell - it wasn't there in ME2 - thee used to be a wall.

Does it ever say where these dangerous not-poppies come from? If not perhaps the thorian is related.

They removed entire walls and rooms and added new ones, just look at Deck 2. If it gets them better access to other parts of the Ship without exposing it why not? You can even see the actual elevator door is missing.
The ME3 Normandy is made a bit sloppy, good thing we didn't have a scene in the drive core room like we had in ME2.

Man, even their compilers love the movie Contact.

And are you guys referring to that door sound that plays in the Hangar deck when you're close to the elevator?

Only thing that changes if played before the Collector base is that the Hologram doesn't represent Harbinger but the Collector General.

I don't think it's about the actual plants, but it could be.

I think it could be about organic-synthetic crossbreeds functioning as sleeper agents.

Or it's just foreshadowing the horrors of synthesis.

I always wondered how was it possible in ME2 to have an open access to a room with a high-powered Mass Effect Generator. One would think entering it without a protective wear on would be deadly.

No dialog changes either?

Also, It's kinda weird that the Reapers are already on the move after Horizon. I always thought that their goal in ME2 was to build a human Reaper and have it pave the way for their return. In the ending cinematic we can even see them powering up in Dark Space and embarking on a journey among the stars. Posted Image

That's no excuse. Posted Image One justification could be that that cloudy-looking field surrounding the generator is actually preventing irradiated particles from getting out of it.

Lot's of speculation for everyone!

Nah, just kidding, Harby left his keys to the Citadel in Dark Space so they had to turn around.

Okay, you can see the stars in the reactor room, which is sloppy. (Also, we do get a scene there, with Tali, but anyway).

I still don't see what the point is about this picture.

Read the original post (which was not quoted). It shows you what we were referring to.

Though it actually looks not like a doorway at all but a recessed wall (if that's the right word).
