I think it would have been more than harbinger playing the ego if they made the ending like this. I know I remember multiple people saying they felt as if the final confrontation with Anderson and TIM was Shepard's mind in turmoil. Has anyone done a write up on this?

If I recall, Otter had a really in-depth analysis about the Freudian trio.

That's in Mark II, if I find it I'll link to it. Bioware really needs to improve their search forum function btw.

Please do! I'd very much love to read it.

Ok here is what I found so far, I know I wrote more in depth so I'll link it when I find it.

How'd I get to page 1835 on Mark II so fast?
A . I skim.
B. You guys deal with trolls too much
C. You'd be surprised how much you guys talk about cookies and cakes... and veggie straws:sick:

Some consider the mako crash to be the start of the dream, making the water and bodies part of it.

4000+ pages.... that's a lot of discussion. Then again I never really participated in any type of forum until now... that I can remember.

Basically Shepard is the Ego, the concious portion of the mind. Anderson, being Shepard's father figure and moral compass, is representing his Superego, a part of him not part of his concious mind, which seeks perfection and moral rightness. TIM is supposed to be the Id, the aspect which is lowbrow, primal, animalistic and desirous, which unfortunately does not map too well, though one could argue the Id is ruled by emotion.

This will seem a bit out of place, but I was wondering if indoctrination should have worked like the mr.gold thing in the movie revolver, where he's the inner monolouge you have and your ego, and the only way to beat him is to overcome his influence.

Here is a link to the clip where stathom's character greene overcomes the thing controling his actions, would this have been cool if shepard had to break indoctrination like this?

That's... actually really cool.

I think it could be remotely possible that the third nightmare never ended but very unlikely since Cerberus base was filled with detail, though there is that gaping hole to the space that apparently does not vacuum the air to the space.

My personal interpretation is that reality is being warped after the third dream but a full on dream only happens after the laser, but the third dream never ending is certainly a distinct possibility.

Hey guys! Was really busy due to the exams the past few weeks <_<
Have I missed anything spectacular? ^_^

Anyway, with the Leviathan DLC coming soon I just noticed something while playing "N7: Cerberus Lab". After(!) bypassing the containment system but before(!) picking up the artifact there is a hologram of some sort of Reaper Tech.

At the first artifact this holo looks a lot like part of the Human Reaper - which makes sense since Cerberus recovered the reimans.

But at the second artifact the hologram shows an unknown type of Reaper. Its bulky shape makes it (at least for me) look massive, hence I think we can assume that this is at least a Sovereign class ship.

Could this Reaper be in fact Leviathan? The infos we already have on the DLC shows that Cerberus is involved somehow. Therefore it would not be too far fetched that a Cerberus lab studying Reaper tech would also have gathered information on Leviathan, a powerful "weapon" that Cerberus is without doubt interested in.

What do you think? And I hope this hasn't been brought up before ^_^

guys let masster be. he's obviously never going to stop doing the multiple posts so we might as well learn to live with it. on another note I would like it if the cerberus base was at least halfway a dream as kai leng's death seemed rushed. they should have shown a fight scene after you were done with the combat not just randomly cut to him laying on the ground.

Here, this is for you guys, because you love symbolism, hidden messages and speculation so much.

No, this is not mockery, it's a wonderful piece of art that I seriously think people like you guys would appreciate.

I find it ironic this guy is linking videos about the illuminati and has problems buying into the IT. Talk about conspiracy theory.....

I find it ironic that you think I actually believe that the illuminati really exists.

You know, you can still appreciate a wonderful piece of art even without agreeing with the contents you know. Besides, the video isn't so much about the illuminati as it is more about oppression from the system of which we are all slaves of to a certain extent. The system will eventually be our downfall if things continue to go on like this.

Kai Leng is the most rushed character in the game. The only thing we gather as a player is that he is some kind of Cerberus elite "Anti-Shepard" and the only reason he ends up not looking like a usual thug is that he gets saved by mind-numbingly bad scenes. We see him on the Citadel, survives thanks to plot armor> then on Thessia, survives thanks to plot armor> gets a cameo in Sanctuary, could end up killing Miranda (or not if Miranda knows). I was glad when he died so he could stop polluting the story.

I didn't take your advice, I made that thread a long long long time ago. I simply ressurected it.
