Not stupid at all. My take is that he is most the same entity who consistently speaks like that: Harbinger.

Yes, because it suggests that by choosing synthesis you kill everyone everywhere in the entire Galaxy for all the times to come.

It barely needs commenting. It needs to be quoted for truth! Can't argue that destroy isn't the right choice can you? We've got em now!
