1) An 'All Just A Dream' retcon is ******-poor writing. And don't say "but IT has consequences, therefor It's not 'All Just a Dream'. The 'All Just a Dream' is not limited to dreams without consequences.

2) The IT is inconsistent writing. It does not add up to what we know about indoctrination, especially not if you've read Mass Effect: Retribution

3) Indoctrinating Shepard doesn't make any sense at this point. Going through all the trouble to indoctrinate him just isn't worth it at the end of ME3. If the reapers wanted to indoctirnate him, they should have done so earlier, preferably during ME2.

4) The IT makes 3 of the 4 choices redundant and worthless. In turn, it would ****** off the majority of the fanbase that actually chose and/or support these 3 choices. Not a smart idea at all.

And we've responded to and debunked all of these 4 points but you continue to bring them up as if they've never been addressed or explained to you.

4) You don't understand what IT is, do you?

1) Inception was not a terrible movie. Dreams where the main subject of the story and whether the entire movie was or wasn't all just a dream is left completely ambitious at the end. I think there are even multiple endings to support both (a theatrical ending and DVD ending).

2) Proof it. You probably haven't read Mass Effect Retribution.

3) No, you just didn't think things through when you decided to create or support this theory. Indoctrinating Shepard doesn't make sense at the end of ME3. Prove me otherwise.

4) I hear this a lot when I bring up points that you folks don't know how to debunk. The IT isn't complicated. I understand the IT and the idea behind it perfectly well.

And I said many many many many times that the "but the IT has consequences" -argument doesn't change the fact that it still fits the 'All Just A Dream' trope.  If you can't get it into your head, then you don't want to and never will. You love the IT too much to admit that it isn't as genius as you initially thought it was.

As are a bunch of other strong movies: Total Recall (the original, for frak's sake), Abre Los Ojos, The Devil's Advocate, and so on and so forth. The rule is far from universal.

I agree with him at this point about invalidating choices. There was a window months ago where it would've been interesting, when the iron was hot for the striking. People have established their interpretations and have (mostly) moved on at this point; pulling the rug out would be a very, very dicey move, not to mention the fact that tons of folks simply wouldn't care now.
