I personally don't think that Anderson pushes you out of the way. I think that Harbinger prepares to fire upon Shepard in Destroy once you break the Hallucination, but the War Assets (if you have enough) occupy Harbinger so that Anderson can pick Shepard out of the Rubble.masster blaster wrote...
You know what if Anderson takes the hit for Shepard. I mean Harbingers beam is coming down on Shepard is Destroy right. Well we speculated that could be the case, but what if Anderson pushes Shepard out of the way?

Only actual use for War Assests really. Other than a measure of Shepard's willpower.401 Kill wrote...

Edit: Idea. In Low EMS Anderson would take the shot for you, but not in high EMS.

That's actually such an awesome idea that if Bioware are reading this I bet they're all facepalming because they didn't think of it. Unless they did...401 Kill wrote...

I always thought I was playing as Tali during the multiplayer with my Quarian Infiltrator. Least how I saw it.

Indeed, even if its only a small selection of characters you can control. Even if its only Wrex/Anderson/Geth Prime or another of the allied leaders as they lead their troops in for the rescue.
But it would be better if you got a full on Suicide Mission style sequence, complete with multiple split paths, characters, dozens of choices and outcomes...
Sorry, dreaming. But having Wrex leading the vanguard assault, Garrus commanding a sniper team, Liara coordinating Biotic Artillery... Yes please.

Im sure they will:D. We still have the DLC cycle, and two DLC's we know nothing about. It's foreshadowed countless times, and they've pulled endings on us like this before!garrusfan1 wrote...

There was also a powerful moment when he revealed to Liara that Horizon was a setup, that Cerberus lured the Collectors there. But it seemed that Liara already knew it.

I bet Liara... Sorry, I lost my train of thought... I apologize... Maybe she could have known about Cerberus intentions/trickery on Shepard but never told him?

It's odd. Here's what happened with me:
1. Started playing ME3.
2. Heard, through the grapevine, that the ending was mega-suck.
3. Finished ME3. Didn't mind the ending, but didn't get all the hate. Felt that Destroy was the 'right' option.
4. Read about IT. Was blown away by the complexity and beauty of it.
5. Obsessed over IT- spending many happy hours in this forum. Felt that if the ending dlc revealed that IT was real, it would be one of the most amazing moments in gaming history.
6. Heard that IT was not revealed in the extended ending DLC. Was devastated.
7. Played the extended ending DLC. Was underwhelmed, but interested by the additional clues they added that seemed to point towards IT (Harbinger saying: "Join us." and so forth)
8. Spent some time away from ME and just tried not to think of it.
I've now come to sort of a new place in my mind, just recently, when I realized that ME3 was still my GOTY, eventhough having my hopes dashed for IT was a real blow to me, personally. But I still love the game, and I think my devastation over IT just supports how involved I got with it. But I've come to a new place regarding IT, which is that I think both interpretations are meant to be valid. I think they've constructed in like Blade Runner, or Inception, or Total Recall, or the Matrix- there is not meant to be one 'true' answer. It's meant to be open to your own interpretation. I choose to believe IT is correct. That doesn't mean it is correct, that doesn't mean anyone else is 'wrong' to think it is not correct. But I think it's a valid interpretation and I stand by it as my personal belief in how the series ended.
I don't really see the point of playing the Leviathan or Omega DLCs. I know how the story ends, and they won't change that. If there is evidence inside these DLCs that support IT I would love to be pointed to a summary of it, but I am just not interested in playing 'backstory'.
I'm not foolish enough to hope against hope that they might release some kind of DLC which 'lifts the veil' and confirms the theory. But it would be amazing if that did happen.
Until then... I'll keep believing in IT.

Well, her face expression before Shepard told her about the setup was telling. As for ME3, well, either that was a necessity from a storytelling POV to constrain her knowledge or she seriously manipulated everyone. But if Cerberus managed to steal Shepard's body from the Shadow Broker, they must've had a very good techniques to hide information.TJBartlemus wrote...

Well said. Much of what you have said, I feel the same way. It went for me like this:
- Before release, was highly excited for the game. Me being the spoil craver that I am, couldn't wait till I could afford to buy the game and had to get all the details on how it ended.
- From reading how it ended it made sense to me. 3 different endings (sorta expected that), that on paper were radically different from each other, and was all caused by some super weapon called the Crucible. My thoughts: "Hmmm...okay."
- So I finally buy the game and start playing. Remember I have only read the details, and not seen actual gameplay.
- Finally get to meet the Catalyst, and was expecting some awesome AI. Was quite disappointed. (Also a bit confused on why it was the child)
- Go on to choose Destroy and finish the game.
- I eventually go online to see the other endings and was enraged/confused/disappointed that they were all practically the same cinematics.
- I soon find out about IT, and was totally mindblown as things/details finally came together in my mind.
Then from there it's pretty much how it was for you. Spent tons of time here, was excited for EC, etc...
Still believe in IT to be true. No doubt. There is no other explaination.
(Other than WNT...

I mean she didn't know about the female Krogan.
Nor Cerberus was planning a coup.
The kilo nuke on Tuchanka.
And more. Heck the old shadow Broker did a better job, as does Cerberus.
