A fact that is usually ignored and that I like to point out again.
The endings were only made by Mac and Hudson, afaik.
Why this amount of secrecy?
There is no real twist in the literal ending...

Hold it right there.
Didn't that come from some forum, the OP of which was only assumed to be a Bioware writer, supposedly Weekes? Or in other words, just a rumor?
Because I find it incredibly unrealistic that a creative writing team could somehow accept that the endings are written the way they are without any protest?

Weekes denied everything, and claimed he would never do such a thing, pointing out that everything done by the Bioware team was done together, and agreed upon; besides, look at it logically; not only would it have had to pass peer review, since EA would have fired the Casey and Mac faster than you could say "Jackrabbit" if they WERE to blame for the whole fiasco, they also would have needed to get it past the alpha test team, the beta test team, the level designers, the cinematics designers, Dr.Musyka, and basically pull the wool over the eyes of the entire company to do so.
The odds are against it.

My impression was that it wasn't there before (I mean in the early months of the game being out).demersel wrote...

That is exactly what i am talking about - the strange wall of plants - i don't know the more i look at them - the more dreamy they become.
