On the Al-Jilani topic:
I get it that it is fun to punch her, but I personally think it is only a sign of weakness. In my canon playthroughs I usually use the paragon or renegade persuation option and let her look like a fool through words and not violence.

I just finished Paragon Lost. Apart from the loltastic intact Sovereign towing scene, Vega with an N7 moniker on his armor at the end (lol wut) and a few minor issues, there wasn't too much in the way of lore breaking. I found it fairly enjoyable. Bear in mind that I went in with very low expectations, so I would recommend the same if you're interested. Ideally, they really should have released this before Mass Effect 3 came out as it would've given us some decent insight into Vega's character, but it is what it is.

2/ Citadel orbiting a planet (presumably Earth)
3/ James meeting Liara (via comms) yet later not knowing who she is
4/ James having an N7 tag

It does. I didn't want to spoil any of the details for people who wanted to see it for themselves, but I can create a separate spoiler post if people have specific questions about the story.

has there even been an explanation to why vega is in the game? i mean other than being non romanceable and stereotypesque. 

btw. just stumbled upon Seivals best of today in case you missed it. (1) got me amused

Perfect? No. It's pretty clear that Bioware didn't write this and got a tad lazy overseeing/approving what was written.

She's literally the prettiest FemShep I've ever seen  One of the reasons I haven't done a FemShep playthough is it's hard to make/find one that I like enough to play as.

It's great. I used it to get all the casuals, all the armour, all the weapons (and at X), all the mods (and at V), max credits, max level, and fix a couple import bugs (LotSB Liara convo/Gabby & Ken convos with Kaidan).

And I'll never play without doing that.
