I don't even know what number I am, but I'm [insert number]ing that!

By my count you'd be the 12th. Which would make me the 13th. It's good luck that I'm not superstitious!;)

By the way, I've decided on the most consise way to answer anyone who asks - "Why didn't they just reveal the IT at the height of the controversy instread of wasting time and money on the EC?"
Answer: "Because back then, they wouldn't have been able to charge actual money for it." (At least not without a PR apocalypse.)
This is EA we're dealing with...

That hurt them. They had to make all Multiplayer DLC's free, which probably hurt them (No micro transactions included) but any planned SP content still cost money, and a lot at that (Omega AHEM). EA could've had something to do with the "IT portion being released as a DLC (assuming they release one).

Fourteenthed.

That would fit EA's reputation, sadly.

I prefer to think that Bioware split off the IT reveal for creative reasons. Both to give them more time to do it right, and to allow time for their 4th wall breaking "indoctrination of the fanbase".

Perhaps I'm being naive, but I like to think well of Bioware. They've been responsible for so many superb games in the past.

EDIT Anyway, it's good-night from me. I've rented Final Fantasy 13-2, so an evening of melodramatic histrionics and ludicrously OTT monsters awaits!

I noticed that too. For some reason Jade Empire has just never interested me so the Stronghold collection was more intersting. I already have CK2. All good deals though so all Steam users here should be made aware!

If this hadn't been ME3s release year 13-2 would've gotten my not coveted Biggest Dissapointment award. Be glad you just rented it.

Well, anything I've missed while playing Metro 2033 (That game is awesome. Totally worth... the zero money I spent on it since THQ was giving it away free. :P)?

I don't see why ME3 would get Biggest Dissapointment.  I mean, sure, the ending wasn't great on the surface, but the rest of the game was great, and I'm pretty certain the IT is what they intended, so that solves the problem of the endings.

Yes, that was when it started last year so I guess it's the same this year.

anyone played spec ops: the line?

no? play it!

seriously awesome, looks and feels like a generic ordinary shoot em up, but theres a serious twist in the story. really gets you thinking and it has an amazing climax and some very interesting decisions to make along the way.

very short, about 4 hours, multiplayer is meh but just for the campaign its worth it, its quite cheap nowadays.

I hope the IT comes to light soon since I believe its the only Theory out there that makes the endings make sense. My biggest thought is, why would Bioware make ending have choices? That to me is the biggest clue something is fishy about the endings because we all know Mass Effect was created so Bioware could have their own Universe to fiddle with. Remember Casey said when they were creating Knights of the Old Republic that is when they were inspired to want to create a Universe they purely had control over not create something in someone else Universe like Star Wars. If the endings are taken at face value than Bioware will be force to make one of the 3 choices cannon which in end takes even more away from our choices at Commander Shepard.

IT is smart and it shows that we as fans have faith in Bioware still, I just hope that faith wont be broken by the time we hear them say they arent making dlc anymore.

Slow? This is normal thread speed. This is how threads are supposed to be like when they aren't used as a chat room.

You know, I wonder what would happen if the IT thread were to close? I mean, if BW really intended IT, it might force it to tip its hand slightly to restart speculation.

Because it's typical for an (rpg) video-game to have choices at the end. It's really standard and video-gamey. Which is ironic, because BioWare said they didn't implement a final boss battle in ME3 for the reason that they didn't want a video-gamey ending, yet they proceed and give us an "A, B, C, pick your ending" finale, which is cliche typical video-gamey crap.

Okay so about the boss fight, well there is the endings. You need to battle Shepard's mind/ willpower. If Shepard can't Destroy the Reapers, then you fail. Yes peace happence in Synthesis, but everyone has changed, not. Just DNA, but personalitys.

Control yes Shepard controls the Reapers, but why order them to kill themselfs, after rebuilding the galaxy. So the Organics, and Synthetics can rest in peace.

Refuse yes Shepard is standing his/her ground, but to fight the Reapers, and he/she did everything to stop the Reapers. Yet Destroy is right there, so no Shepard didn't do everything he/she could. The only reason why people pick refuse because they hate the endings/ hate what the brat tells them.

Destroy is the prime goal because that's what Shepard was going to do.

Now from what I think Destroy is showing the galaxy is ready to stand by itself.

Looking at the endings from an IT standpoint,

Can anyone see Refuse as being the way out of the indoctrination? Because even when you know there is no other way out, you're still remaining completely incorruptable to your morals and beliefs?

I guess if I'm being kind I can see it as being a way out. I dont think it should be though, because you dont keep your resolve to destroy the Reapers no matter the cost in it. You decide some costs are too great, and dont take the chance to wipe them out when it is presented to you.

I could see that being the case. It would mean that the original ending had no real "out," but I could see BioWare going in that direction quite easily. The lack of breath scene is something else that would need to be addressed.

People would certainly complain, but most ITers already seem to agree that IT itself is a good idea but that BioWare could have implemented it better.

I personally like the idea of both destroy and refuse offering ways out. Destroy could be the "renegade" option and refuse could be the "paragon" option.

Jade I am up for refuse, but I don't know about IT. It would have to have a breath scene, or showing Shepard waking up, however I see refuse as sorry for this bs.

I mean Shepard dies knowing that he/she did everything he/she could to stop the Reapers? I am sorry, but that's why the ending Destroy is there. Kill Reapers. I doubt Shepard knows that he/she is being Indoctrinated, and the main reason refuse was added because people hated the endings/ wanted to say screw you brat.

I see refuse as standing your ground and nothing more.

I mean heck literal, or IT Destroy is what we are told to do, by NON Indoctrinated people.

So it just depends on if they add a breath scene, or showing Shepard wake up.

Refuse can also be a not thrusting anything the starkid says option, how do you know the destroy option will work, it didn´t in low-ems, so shepard can think that if the Crucible is a no-go, then lets fight with the army he collected through the game is the only option left
