Oh great, I think I just lost a double digit number of IQ points reading Seival's latest thread. Gethprime, you could have warned me.

That's like asking to be warned that drinking bleach is bad for your health.

What I meant was that there was no warning that it was a Seival thread.  At least then I would have known going in what's going to happen.  Instead, it got sprung on me.

Oh, I see.  Yeah, I can understand your gripe then.  That's harsh.  That's why I've been petitioning to have Seival's avatar changed to a Surgeon General's warning so we can be warned about the toxins before reading a word.

Byne you could stand to be a bit nicer to Jade. She's a great person, and the she only came in to ask what the ITers thought about something. My impression is you are somewhat condescending anytime she tries to enter the conversation and I'm sure it doesn't make her want to partake in discussion. We could always use more insightful supporters here, so let's not burn bridges with the only other positive ending theory's creator...

You guys are seriously over thinking this. The endings are as they are presented. A construct created the reapers to prevent synthetic life from dominating the galaxy. You can argue that doesn't make sense (and I agree) but there have certainly been sillier premises in SciFi.

The completion of the Crucible breaks the cycle and forces the Shepard to decide upon a new course. There's nothing more to it than that.

You should always look at the name of the person posting before you read the actual post. It will save you the annoyance if it is not a "rational" person.

I wasnt being condescending towards her, I was being condescending towards Refuse Shep, because I find that choice to be nearly as bad as control or synthesis.

She took what I said the wrong way though, and then left before I could apologize.

Banshee byne didn't mean that. She took it the wrong way, as did Jade did take my post a while back the wrong way.

The problem I have with Seival's posts is that they're like a horrible, brain cell killing drug that I'm addicted to.  I know that I shouldn't read them, but I can't help it.

What say you to the overwhelming amount of evidence at our backs? Where is yours?

@Dwailing You're becoming indoctrinated! Steel your resolve! I don't read any of those posts!

@TJ you raise a good point. Not much of what he said is actually mutually exclusive with IT anyway. Posted Image

IT agrees with your statement that's bolded. The endings are certainly as presented. It's just that they aren't actually happening in the universe, but instead in Shepard's mind  (or in a meta-physical universe created by the Reapers). Either way, it's an illusion. IT also agrees there was a construct created that made the Reapers. That construct is Harbinger.

You know, I just had a thought. If it wasn't for Shepard finding that gun and coincidentally being able to carry it all the way to the choice room, he'd never have been able to Destroy the Reapers. He'd have been forced to choose either Control or Synthesis. The more I think about it, the more unlikely the odds of Shepard even having ABILITY to choose Destroy, let alone survive it, seem to become.

That's indeed a very good catch. He couldn't have punched the tube with bare hands.

My Shepard would've headbutted the SH*T out of those tubes.

Well, Jade misinterpreted something Byne said, Seival created a new toxic waste dump I mean thread, and I just came to the conclusion that the odds of Shepard being able to choose Destroy are very low.

He could of...but it would be depressing as you see Shepard beat him/herself to death trying to break it. :(

Heh, I don't know if that would have worked.  It would be awesome if he could, but I doubt it.
