@rif - there's a reason they used the subtle math error. If you think about how indoctrination works it is via subtle changes. So by changing something subtle yet dire and concering (to a geth who cant seem to get a mathematical answer correct no matter how many geth are used to analyze the problem) in the Geth consensus, Sovereign and the Reapers then have the ability to use the Geth religion about the Old Machines and exploit the Geth like they have
Plus by the way BioWare changed the problem slightly from the pentium error calculation. They used a slightly different number to create the 1.33381 number Legion explains. That's what's so concerning, the Geth calculations are supposed to be perfect and return 1.33382 but is a single value off
The only class that would have friendly fire....aside from everyone that pushes the reactor cooldown button while teammates are inside.(because that is still a thing and I thought it was taken away!)CmdrShep80 wrote...

God, I'm glad I quit MP. That's synthesis levels of retarded. It's hard to defend BW against "bad riteing lol" when they do pure, undiluted idiocy like that.

Doesn't stop it being fun, either. Seriously, lighten up!![]()

I could get my head around the Volus Engineer and Adept, but the Sentinel is ridiculous (for starters 3 Volus is too many, and secondly Sentinels are meant to be tough defensively) and the Vanguard is blatant comic-relief fanservice, which I loathe.
Saying that, I haven't played multiplayer in over a month now, so I guess it doesn't matter much to me.

Are we going into the "were the geth indoctrinated?" question again. Because no. Geth cannot be indoctrinated. Geth can be hacked. Organics can be indoctrinated. Organics cannot be hacked. They may share some fundamental similarities, yes, but they are different.
Moreover, I don't believe Sovereign used any hacking or indoctrination. If he did, why did only a small fraction of the geth follow him? When the Reapers got control of the geth in ME3, they had control of all networked geth processes. What made only some geth vulnerable to Sovereign's supposed attack, and most of them were unaffected? Besides, there's a moral lesson to the story. As different as geth are from humans, we share some basic truths. Geth aren't all innocent little angels, nor are they all evil Terminators. Just like people, some are just good, some are just bad, and some just make bad decisions. Until I see any solid proof that Sovereign manipulated their minds, the heretics are responsible for their own evil. As big a fan as I am of Legion, it's not right to absolve the geth of wrongdoing on a completely unsupported notion that they were being controlled against their will.
And at the end of the day, the Pentium bug analogy is just that: an analogy. Legion specifically stated that neither result is an error. Both results are true for the geth that reached those conclusions. He's simply trying to put it into terms we can understand. He never implies that Sovereign was controlling the heretics beyond how any boss would order around an underling.

LOL, there's 4 now. And we still only have 2 salarians. But it's okay because "lighten up." <eye roll>
It does stop it from being fun when you found the game fun because it wasn't a retarded joke.

I don't care how funny or fun to play something would be. If it doesn't fit, it shouldn't be there.paxxton wrote...

Nonsense? So it's perfectly fine to have every other race in the Mass Effect universe playable in the multiplayer, all the Krogan, Salarian, Asari, Turian, Vorcha, Batarian, Humas as far as the eye can see, but as soon as the Volus are put in? Oh no, it's nonsense! Never mind the fact that the Volus actually have a small military force, never mind the fact that they support any war the Turians fight in, INCLUDING THIS ONE, never mind that they have Volus bombers you can acquire in the single player, never mind that even though they're not the most formidable race in the galaxy, they will fight regardless. No, no, despite the fact that thematically it makes more sense to have the Volus included in the multiplayer besides 'LOLZ FANSERVICE', compared to everything else, it's nonsense. You're totally right, and everyone should listen to you because you're so right about everything.
Did it ever occur to you that maybe, in the same way that people wanted to play as all the other races, that people WANTED to play as the Volus? You've given up on multiplayer, so I can tell you, I've seen more people play as Volus than Salarians or Krogans. Bioware added them to make something different, and hey, clearly it works. Maybe if you played multiplayer, or hell the game in general, rather than rag on about how awful everything is, you'd come to appreciate it rather than look like a douche.
So do us all a favour; don't rag on everyone else's fun and criticize aspects of a game you no longer play just to get your jollies off. Thanks.

Considering we do know (certain) Volus can use Biotics, what exactly is stopping a Volus from blowing someone away with Biotic power if he has enough skill? Also most of the Volus abilities are supportive, even the Biotic orbs seem more intended to act as support for detonating Biotic explosions or weakening the enemy (if you choose that upgrade).
Though to be fair i do consider Volus Vanguard hilariously stupid.
