But you still get the best part of DA. Templar killing.
I hate the Thalmor almost as much as I hate Ulfric.
I once ran into a Thalmor patrol that asked if I worship Talos, and I told them I totally did, praise be to Talos and all that since I knew that'd get them to try and fight.
I dont even care for Talos. All my characters worship Sithis.
Ulfric is a saint compared to the Thalmor.
I'm glad they actually provided a paragon route for dealing with the dark brotherhood instead of only giving the option to ignore it or help them. Too damn many "evil only" quests in Skyrim. And it's so much fun raiding their hideout.
I could never raid them. The Dark Brotherhood has always been my favorite faction. For some reason, the Elder Scrolls games are the only games where I can play an evil character and not feel bad about it.
Also, random question thats always bugged me: arent the Thalmor kind of objectively wrong about the divinity of Talos, since his blood was able to make the portal to Mankar Camoran's Paradise?

Oh, I have the Witch Hunt DLC, so my Male Warden met up with Morrigan again.
Though i dont particularly reccomend that DLC. It isnt very good.
That's like saying cancer isn't very fun. Witch Hunt was offensively bad. "There will be answers" was the advertisement. What answers? It only left more questions. We all assumed it was basically an advertisement for DA2, and as much of a load of crap as that would be, at least it'd be understandable. But it wasn't. DA2 didn't deal with any of the issues it was about. FFS, we never even found out what that thing was Morrigan left for the Warden even though IT WAS OUR CHARACTER GETTING IT. Inexcusable.
What was it? Because I dont remember at all.
Imo it points to where Morrigan is going and is basically a hint for the Warden to follow, even if she tells her not to.
You remember incorrectly. No one knows what it was. It was just a book. It's never explained what it was.

Wasnt the entire DLC based around chasing Morrigan for stealing a book? If its a book, isnt it obvious what book it was?

No, the Grimoire was said to contain Flemeth's secrets of immortality . You know, the whole eating her daughters myth...

There were two books lying there. One was the one you were chasing, the other is the mysterious gift. As always, Megumi is spouting off about things she doesn't know.

Jacob, but yeah. It's tied into the whole "we'll go for drinks later" messages from your squadmates at the end. And there's Rio in MP, and other things. I'll get Banshee to repost the Rio Hypothesis when he gets home.

So would anyone recommend buying the dlc for me3 knowing that the ending is still horrendously bad and may not be fixed?
I would! Remember, they're only terrible from a certain point of view. We need more content, but not to complete the ending per se. We're not done the story in the same way ME2 didn't finish the story.
