lolwut.  Are you talking about during the geth consensus mission?  Where the geth were still hooked up to an actual, live Reaper?  Big mystery why the code would come back.

I'm just seeing some patterns here. I know my opinion isn't popular, and I'm not 100% on it, but there's too much in the way of being completely similar to synthesis for me to ignore it.

Maybe the parallels are there to show the difference between good Synthesis and what we see in the ending.  Because the concept of Synthesis is not a bad one.  It's just the way it's done in the ending that's horrible galactic genetic rape.

But the thing is, I don't see how this would be a good synthesis. The point is, you choose the path the Reapers laid out before us, in both cases. And if I'm right, in both cases the result will be genetic rape. Albeit 'just' the Quarians and not the entire galaxy.

Seriously, I see no difference.

All in the name of peace between synthetics and organics? Check.
All because you don't want to kill your friends? Check.
Self-sacrifice? Check
The situation resulting in some kind of symbiosis between organics and synthetics that may not end well? Check
Using a Reaper solution? Check.

He's warning us. There's a pattern. The Reapers mess with the cycles' synthetics to screw organics over.

The Zha'til case is exactly identical to the case of the Geth / Quarians. You can't just handwave that away as 'coincidence'.

What I'm saying is, yes, Javik may be a synthetics-hating fascist pig, BUT: he's got a very good reason for being the way he is. He's been through all of this before. And IMHO it would be unwise to dismiss all his warnings just because he's such an ass and Legion is so adorable.

My Shepard doesn't believe synthetics are just toasters. She sees them as a valid life-form.

All I'm saying is that the Geth have been compromised and Legion is not the same guy he was in ME2.

The reapers did not want or expect Legion to use the reaper code to upgrade the Geth. It wasn't a path that was laid out by them. Exactly like how they did not expect us to use thanix cannons.

It's also worth noting that that's not possible at any point in the story so far, even during the assault on Earth at the end.

Cause of my pics I went and lost this post.  Listen to the main select with headphones and play it loud with no music or dialog.  You can hear the whistling of wind in the backgroud and you can also hear that clang clang clang sound that you hear at the end of the game.  It doesn't play loudly all the time but if you sit and wait you'll hear it come up every now and again

I'm so excited that I just now found this that I can't seem to post it right.  It's amazing that I didn't notice all this time but having listened to that darn breath scene, that sound got stuck and so hearing it again right after coming out of mp I was like WTF! OMG!  (btw try loading and coming back to the main select screen too if you don't hear it right off the bat).

Cruisers are the kind that look like they have long cannons on their nose, Dreadnoughts are the the ones with shaped noses that connect to the top of their hull . . . At least I think they are, I'll have to look that up.

EDIT The screen showing the crucible and the selection for loading mp, your game saves, new game, extras, exit etc

Cruisers' noses are shorter than their "wings", while Dreadnoughts are longer.

This is all behind the hum of the select screen. You have to listen to it louder and really hear it. Turn off the music too.
