TY for noticing  but I don't think any of us noticed it before that the select screen has the same sound effects as the breath scene with a few exceptions.

It's similar to the people who found the beam sound but in a different tone (but it's not quite like that though)

The nose is the most obvious, but the Dreadnought also has more wing area at the back, and four engines, while the Cruiser has two. Cerberus Cruisers look just like Alliance ones, except they have four engines like a Dreadnoughts.

My headphones are up two fights of stairs, but with the TV volume turned up I didn't hear it, but there are definitely noises there. I usually hit mute at the menu, so I never payed attention to the backgrounds noises. It's going to have to wait until tomorrow, but I'll check with headphones.

I'm not saying it isn't there, just that I couldn't distinguish it on the TV speakers.

LOL ya I usually listen to the pleasant music and knew there was noise but I thought it was just random sounds like the citadel has, yet the same similar noise shows up in several places.

Ya I'm trying it without headphones and it's barely noticable.  You definitely need to use headphones for this.  It's the only way to pull them out.  I am using these awsome headphones that really helps with stuff like this

EDIT - put it this way I finally got it recorded and can hear them with the headphones not without

EDIT 2 - trying the same recorded section with headphones and you can definitely pick it up real easily (at least on the headphones I'm using

The problem is if you don't have headphones it's not going to work well.  There's at least 5 distinct places I was able to find which plays it.

Ok, try this with headphones and compare to the ending sequence

EDIT In fact if you play the one with headphones first then load the breath scene after and let them play together you'll hear the same sounds

Better yet, start the end sequence right at the point above for the breath scene, pause it after the first 3 clangs you hear and play the title sounds with headphones and you'll hear the same 3 clangs within the first 6 seconds and it repeats several times over

Around 20 seconds in? My phone isn't cutting it even with headphones. I'm not firing up the laptop to get a clearer sound tonight, but yeah I think that's the same sounds.

I'm going to sleep. I'd suggest using one of the breath scene only videos. No music and no fast forwarding.


The question is does reusing that asset there mean anything?
