I mainly meant because if you disagree with her, she writes off Shepard and Adams' opinions because "you two are practically machines yourselves."  ****.

if i was shepard id have taken that personally, it was out of order i expected better from chakwas

Synthetics do emulate life, but they do it so well that there's no actual difference between emulation and the real thing.  They are conscience, self-aware, reasoning, learning and even relatively empathetic.  They are as alive as any organic.

On that note, I find it curious that Legion says the Geth would be "alive" if they used the Reaper upgrades.

And then that whole thing about finding the growth 'beautiful... indicative of life'.

Makes you wonder.

When you're in the Geth consensus, the Reaper code seems to have a life of its own. It makes animal-like noises, and even Reaper-like growls, when you delete parts. It seems to breathe too.

Are we to conclude from this that synthetics aren't really alive? And that only the Reapers have found the 'secret to artificial life'? Could this be why the Geth see the Reapers as gods? Just thinking out loud here.

Either that or Geth are just animalistic life when they aren't networked, very basic and primal in nature. With the upgrades they achieve sentience on an individual level.

I agree, the Geth before the upgrades are alive, but only when grouped, so it's kind of weird. Legion's code makes them true individuals, and fully alive. Hmm, alive's not the right word here, maybe sapient or something? Regardless of the word, I think what I said makes sense.

Right, the Reaper is still connected, that's why you can't kill all of the code; the code represents the Reaper's presence in the consensus.

I am sorry, but what is the problem with Revan having anime pictures in his signature? It is not growing, at least not downwards and a signature no matter the forum is usualy used to show or tell something about the person posting, at least that is how I always see people using it.

If anime pictures is how he wants to do it, then so be it, it is not hurting you.

I agree that the Reaper is connected just as much as Shepard is in there, and I'd attribute the description you describe to the Reaper being partly organic as well, so it appears to breath like Shepard does.

This is also and example of gameplay mechanics. The Reaper code is the only interactable stuff in the mission, so it should do something like pulse or glow, because this is a completely foreign place to the player.

It hurts my eyes. And it's not just the sig, it's the increasing frequency of his posting them throughout the day, like that same goodnight pic everyday. It's growing like a cancer.

Thank you for defending me, Raistlin. The thing I don't get about spotlessvoid is why is my stuff is spamming while the offtopic stuff, as fun as those can be, aren't? I'm not covering the entire page with them (eventual comparison post doesn't count because it is compared to Mass effect and thus fits in this forum).
