Gears and Halo series are a lot of fun to play. Well worth the money in my opinion.

Yeah well, I'm not sure if I should buy a console for two IP's.

If you ask me, it's worth it.  Halo is an amazing series, as is Gears of War.  And they're really all I play on the Xbox.

Oh and Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone.

@Dwailing I will be on Halo 4 soon. Don't bother waiting in the lobby, I'll try to join in progress.

Does the Christmas gift from Sam Hulick sound incomplete to anyone else too? It feels like part of a larger piece.

I'm gonna go ahead and ask the stupid question... it's not possible to play shooters on the 360 with a USB mouse, right?  Just that godawful miniature joystick on the controller?  I've avoided shooters for that reason, but they get enough love that I kinda want to try some.  If I could actually control my aim.

I've actually seen some third party peripherals for ps3 where you connect a keyboard and a mouse and they make it work with all the buttons. I don't know about xbox peripherals though.

Scratch that, it seems to be possible too.

Given that it's not a combat track, but fades out anyway, yes.

I still have to wait for Microsoft to recover my profile. Forgot password and the recovery is being a pain in the a**. :pinched: New Xbox, and old hardrive is broken. Requires a password to access profile even though I have it already on a transfer stick. Why me?

Was Sam's track a good sign for things to come do you think?

I think of it as the "Sheldon Cooper" effect.

Sorry, I'm not very familiar with shows based entirely around stereotypes.

Sorry, bad example. Someone who's bright in some areas, but not in others, is what I was trying to say.

AFAIK, no.

Mouse will always be superior, but I did get used to it real quickly after having been a PC-gamer for ages.

It kind of depends on the game. Mass Effect 3's aiming is really, really accurate, and not hard at all. Same goes for Alan Wake. I have a little more trouble with Rockstar games though. Maybe I should just put more effort in adjusting sensitivity.

I wouldn't call it a tease, more like a demo. The first Halo 4 track officially released (early) was shortened too.

I wish they would get around to implementing Xbox controller support for the PC. I'd happily sacrifice accuracy for some respite from RSI, as I'm on a computer all day at work.

Sorry, but this has got to be said.

**** HAZARD MAPS!

Seriously, they aren't hard. They are CHEAP. Especially Benning. Oh what's that? Acid raid? Well here's a bunch of missions that require you to be out in the rain! Oh, you died in the rain? How about we kill you again instantly after resurrecting? That's fun isn't it? NO ITS NOT.

Why do people keep choosing those maps? They are terrible.

Your health is not affected by the rain, only your shields :)

Sounds a bit like exploration music of some kind. I don't mean it sounds similar to the galaxy map music, but that it sounds like music that would play while exploring.

Ahh, must be the romance pack then.  Traynor's sex scene music.
