Many of them, yes.  Right down to "if you can't beat platinum/collectors solo with a predator, then you're a <homosexual slur>, you suck"
Of course, many real ME fans too.

maybe some of them, dont see anything wromg with that, MP is really fun and its updated very frequently.
Maybe they just gave up in getting a new ending, maybe the´re ok with the one we have(EC) or other reasons. Gameplay is fun and sometimes that is just enough

My name gets called out a bit on someone's mic. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. Not dying much, completing said objectives, reviving teammates. Only me though. No one else. Maybe it's my constant low score or something, but if these are FPS gamers, then that's probably typical. As a FPS goes, low score=bad player. However, with Mass Effect 3, score is irrelevant, as long as you complete the objectives.

Seriously?, i always end playing with mature people who just say my name if they need help or reviving.
And the score competition is kinda fun, highest score gets bigger reward to buy new equipment and characters.

Okay so I guess my main question I have first about IT is what is everyone expecting/hoping for with it? Are you waiting for some form of confirmation from Bioware in a big reveal DLC or would you be happy with it forever remaining one of several interpretations of the game?

Maybe I'm just misinterpreting it. They may not be even mad at me, because they don't yell at me or anything. Just call my name out. Maybe I should get a mic and ask them what they want next time it happens.

I'd like more stuff to analyze, but some around here want a reveal (post-wake up scene, I guess).

If this was originally a open to debate thing (kind of like philosophy), then with philosophy, it would be a 3000 year old riddle with no answer.

If a tree falls in the woods, does it make a sound? Absolutely, [tree crashing sound]

How can sound exist, if there's no one there to hear it?

i, personally, expect there to be a IT DLC or something in a sequel, because although IT is a nice interpretation of the game it also leaves with an incomplete game where you dont know what happens if you "overcome" indoctrination.
So yeah i´m hoping fo reveal confirmation

P.D. yeah i know BW said there wont be an expansion or changing to the ending and wathever i lose nothing for hoping

Spoken as a person who came to ME from "generic FPS games" I'd say with every game score is irrelevant. At least, that's how I play.

I know about the no new ending part, but I didn't hear about the expansion part. Expansion on the ending, but I guess I took it as a game expansion. For example, Mass Effect 3.5 which basically wraps up the trilogy with a 5 hour expansion finale. Not sure how that would go over with fans. Pay $20 to see how everything wraps up, people would be pissed. I know some in this thread scalded me for suggesting to pay for the actual ending.

I think if IT was intended we will see some sort of reveal. Almost everyone here is waiting until the end of the DLC cycle to find out, although that won't 100% answer the IT question (unless we get a DLC reveal obviously.) A lot of us are hopeful of the new DLC that all 9 writers are working on, as well as 3 composers inculding Sam Hulick. It will most likely be the DLC after next, and probably the last one. Most of us hope for IT to be true for the same reasons as people wanted the EC: We want proper closure and an ending that makes sense. IT doesn't need more content, but the story, and the fans certainly do.

They also said no MP in ME3, no Javik, no new endings in EC (refuse) etc. So we have ample reason to mistrust their PR talk. However, many of the "lies" they told (which would be beyond stupid just days before the game came out) such as "No ABC endings" would actually not be lies if they do an IT reveal...

I just hope they don't waste this opportunity, as IT fixes virtually all problems with the current ending and sets up for a proper sequel.

yeah i wouldn´t know the strategy that had to be use to charge for the expansion and try to not get that many people pissed. But since i´m a selfish person i would just say "I dont care if people is pissed or whatever, i´ll just throw money to get my ending"

PR tells people what they want to hear in order to get people to buy it.

Kind of like movies, show them a really good trailer, but when they actually see the movie, it's not anything like the trailer.

I'm not calling them on it, but I can say that their claim of best ending without doing multiplayer is in fact true. I completed the whole trilogy (every single sidequest, explored every inch of each game) and wound up with 5600 war assets (pre-EC, and minus the DLCs), so it's definitely possible. Just, most people aren't completionists though, so they may say that weren't honest with that claim.

I think a lot of ITers just want the ending fixed more than anything. IT is important to most of us, but it's the literal ending being one of the most poorly written pieces of garbage that drives the desire for additional content. Many, myself included, want closure to the narrative and would be disappointed in the lack of follow through. More than anything it's that the literal interpretation is such a slap in the face to fans and the series itself that it sickens us to think that it ends that way, and all the troubling implications that holds for future content. However, unlike anti-enders, we all see that Bioware's Mass Effect team has made an otherwise incredible series, and through analyzing the game have seen all the hints, small and large, that the entire series, not just the end, has built up to. The fact that the literal ending is implausibly moronic and that IT fits so amazingly well has led many of us to believe that Bioware has something incredible in the works

QFT - my thought exactly. I only wish I had been smart enough to spot these clues in my playthrough. I was livid with Bioware until I heard about the IT. Then I felt much better about the game, but it's still incomplete in my eyes without a reveal.

On a related topic - what do you guys think are the odds that Bioware will release all the DLC (From Ashes, Leviathan, Omega and the hypothetical reveal) on a physical disk as an expansion pack?

I'd prefer it that way as I have a monthly download cap on my broadband. Also throwing in the existing dlc as bonuses might be a goodwill gesture to those who will potentially be upset that Bioware kept the "real" ending back to be sold separately?

Yeah, sorry to open this of a can of worms. I'm not saying I personally feel that way, but some of the more bitter literalists might be upset.

I don't think Bioware deliberately intended to hold the "real" ending hostage, by releasing one that was intentionally awful so we would hand over our cash to fix it. Not even EA is that cynical. But they genuinely miscalculated how satisfying we would find the ending of the original game. Everyone makes mistakes.

I think this might actually be one of the reasons the IT dlc (if planned, usual diclaimer) has taken so long. Bioware are waiting for the anger to subside, so the IT reveal DLC would seem more of semi-sequel, like BG Throne of Bhaal, than a cynical "Asura's Wrath" type move.

indeed - could be a massive own goal tho. i am assuming they actually want to make me4 viable, and this would seriously pee off the majority of its customers imo.
