"Here's how I see it: Whether intentionally or not, BW has in fact indoctrinated much of the playerbase. The fun thing about that is you can't really argue it, because said portion of the playerbase aligned themselves with the reapers willingly. If BW didn't intend this, they indoctrinated themselves, much like what the reapers may have done. "
oh how I love this quote of yours!

Thank you!

I have to go now. I'll see you later and happy speculating. :)

I kind of just sat there when I finished the game the first time I felt like I could deal with it until a few nasty plot holes were brought to my attention. Now IT kind of patches up most of those wounds (though the handling of the Rachni will never be fixed in my opinion, but that is neither here nor there,) and gives me more pizazz to play through the games again and see if I can pick up any other tidbits. Also I would like to take the time to say that man you guys are nice on this thread! I was treated well even after asking a somewhat stupid question and made to feel like a part of the group. Thank you!

Actually, on the note of the Rachni, I find it interesting that they admitted they effectively admitted their mistakes there and apologized for the handling of that decision. Apparently they were short on time, and originally had an entirely different mission planned, but couldn't do it in time. They apologized even though it was really EA's fault. But they won't admit they made any mistake with the endings? They only valid excuse for that I can think of is IT. Just saying.

Oh thank you I didn't know that and I feel ridiculously better about that now. Wow. Yeah IT all the way. I don't want to believe that Bioware copped out. They have given us deep themes in the past why would they stop now?

Unfortunately I don't have a link to that, but it is pretty much what happened.

Edit: Don't worry, I will return.

Before release BioWare twittered/facebooked 5 coded images, and the last one was a red herring
They never stated what the herring was referring to

edit: found a list of the uncoded things

  • 55.845 – the atomic weight of iron
  • The temperature -128.5˚ Fahrenheit
  • The British Secret Intelligence Service – otherwise known as MI6
  • The cover of an album by The Clash
  • A red herring

Indeed.  And when word gets out that a real living breathing Prothean survived the previous Cycle and is now fighting alongside Commander Shepard...

There would be crowds of people surrounding Javik at all times on the Citadel.  Not just a single Hanar and a curious Asari...?

Kenson
Indoctrinated by Object Rio.
told her forces to keep Shepard alive why? Harbinger told them so/ controlled Kenson.
Kenson was promised a future, and the Reapers will be their salvation.
Kenson was having nightmares.

Leviathan.
created the Intelligence so that they could stop their thralls from being killed by the Synthetics.
Leviathan controlled Organics, but can not control Synthetics.
Leviathan did not kill Shepard why
Is Leviathan telling us the whole truth?
Told us that Harbinger is the first Reaper.
Never told us where the intelligence is.

Rachni
Indoctrinated by the Reapers.
Talked about soure notes.
did not want to fight the races, but were forced to.
Why did the Brat want to weaken the galaxy/ could have endangered the races chance of preservation?
Why do the Reapers implant Reaper tech in the Rachni maybe causing the genetic material to be corrupted.

The Protheans synthetics
Forced to attack the Protheans due to Reapers controlling them.
synthesized their creators.
Why did the Brat use Synthetics to fight Organics?
Indoctrinated

The Geth
Indoctrinated/ hacked by a math error in their systems.
Used for labor/ looking for the Conduit only.

London Calling - The ClashThe ending takes place in London, clash representing the conflict taking place.
Delve deeper into the record, notice some of the tracks:
i) London Calling
ii) Hateful
iii) Death or Glory
iv) Four Horsemen
v) I'm Not Down
vi) Revolution Rock

Now, obviously, I'm looking too far into the album, but it interests me. These tracks strike me as fitting in with the ending. Hatred from and towards the Reapers, the four horsemen of the apocalypse indicating what could happen if we fail. Death or glory, success or total annihilation. Revolution against the norm, the norm being a Reaper victory and thus ending the cycle.

Atomic Weight of Iron
55.845 +/- 0.002 u
Fe, Atomic Number: 26

Famous iron canyons of Aequitas...another link to indoctrination and the potential Leviathan DLC - if we are right in suggesting the DLC may take place at Aequitas. If it does not, it is still another link to indoctrination, with the device in ME2.

Or if you're mental you could look at it like this (This is just for fun, I don't actually believe this):
26 is the Atomic Number
The crystalline structure is Cubic...cubes have 6 faces...

26/6 is the day the Extended Cut was released - CONCLUSIVE (lol)

UK Secret Service
Provides the government with foreign intelligence - maybe a nudge towards Earth being supplied information from "foreign" planets, maybe but this is a reach. Though we do provide Anderson and Earth with info throughout the game?

Moving on, I suspect it's something to do with Reaper spies within London, purely because the Indoctrination Codezx entry mentions this sort of thing and it makes perfect sense. Coates being the Reaper thrall makes sense, considering he was by himself fighting Reapers for days and so his mind likely would have been weakened...could also fit with why we clearly see the warning sign next to him on the Mako similar to the signs near the kid on Vancouver.

-128.6 Fahrenheit Vostok Station, Antarctica - -128.6 Fahrenheit the coldest temperature recorded on Earth

Vostok System - Alko, Clomarthu, Nodacrux, Pataiton, .ALKO - Unregistered starship travel, travel not recommended
CLOMARTHU - Could be Earth's twin (size and orbit) but no life
NODACRUX - Very interesting. Abandoned facility with Thorian Creepers (Indoctrination) thus links in with the hinted Leviathan DLC - Also space cows xD
PATAITON - Meh, just a Matriarch writing Tali discovers on ship

Nodacrux interests me greatly. Especially with there being mentions to Thorians in the hinted DLC...this could prove to be a link to these clues

May also just point to Lake Vostok in Eastern Antarcitca, where scientists (Now, in the present 2012) hypothesise new life could be found in the underwater lake...maybe hinting there could be something in the lake that's been hidden for thousands of years...an Ancient species, a weapon, plans? This is purely **** thoughts and bull - I'm sure it relates to the Vostok system, specifically Nodacrux and its Thorian creepers.

Red Herring The most interesting of all. Red Herring, also known as IGNORATIO ELENCHI...which translates to - which I find absolutely perfect - IRRELEVANT CONCLUSION, or FALLACY OF DISTRACTION.

"deliberate attempt to divert a process of enquiry by changing the subject. For example: "I think that we should make the academic requirements stricter for students. I recommend that you support this because we are in a budget crisis and we do not want our salaries affected."[/i] Here the second sentence, though used to support the first, does not address the topic of the first sentence, instead switching the focus to the quite different topic of lecturer salaries. "

My Project is done.

Catalyst
Posted Image
Master mind.
Leader of the Reapers.
Started the cycle why? To protect Organics, form the Synthetics. To preserve all life so they won't be lost.
Responsible for the past cycles.
Betrayed his creators why? So he could continue his programing/ purpose.
Why help Shepard? Shepard has changed everything.
Is one minded.
Manipulator.
Why does it not have full control over the Citadel?
Why doesn't the brat not want to tell us about the cycle that created the crucible? Not enough time to explain, yet it talks to Shepard about the endings.
Orders the Reapers to build a conduit on Earth.
Control's TIM.
Controlled every Indoctrinated person.
promised All Indoctrinated agents that if they helped the Reapers, then they will be spared/ pro missed a future to look forward to.

Harbinger
Posted Image
The first Reaper.
General of the Reapers/ the right hand of the Catalyst,
How is he controlled?
why did Harbinger not betray his creator?
Prime suspect to be the Catalyst at the end.
Why does Harbinger display independence if he is being controlled?
Why not kill Shepard in arrival, and the beam run?
Is ordered to begin the harvest of humanity/ create the first Reaper of this cycle.
Why does Harbinger not try to hunt down Shepard? Is leading the Reapers at Earth.

Nazara, or Sovereign
Posted Image
Is Harbingers/ the Brat's LT.
Why use the Geth to attack Organics, if the brat is telling the Reapers to protect Organics from Synthetics? Needs to find a way to get into the Citadel/ find the Prothean beacons.
Why would Nazara dispose the Geth after the Reapers come back? They are no more use to Him/ the brat.
Wanted Shepard is an ally.
Indoctrinated Saren.
Promised Saren that he would live/ the Reapers will spare anyone that does not stop them.
Hates Organics/ told Shepard that Organics are an error.

Saren.
Posted Image
Indoctrinated when he meet Nazara.
Slowly was Indoctrinated by the Monolith
Wanted to Destroy humanity for the death of his Brother.
Told Shepard that he was trying to save everyone by fusing man, and machine together.
The Reapers control him.
Influenced people to join him by Indoctrination/ his reputation.
Betrayed everyone by joining the Reapers.

end of part 1.

TIM
Posted Image
Why does he betray humanity? He is Indoctrinated.
Why experiment on his own kind?
Why does he order his troops to attack the galactic races? Reapers are telling him to do so.
Why does he not want Shepard dead?
How does TIM know about Thessia before Shepard can find out?
Why did TIM attack the Citadel?
Why leave Shepard the VI if he didn't want Shepard to have it?
Why does TIM want to implant Reaper tech in him? So he can Control the Reapers?
protector of humanity.
List his friends to the Reapers.
Why would TIM implant his troops with Reaper tech? To increase their combat skills, and test to see if he can control them.
If TIM was trying to Control the Reapers, then shouldn't the Reapers not know about his side project?

Indoctrinated Protheans/ Collectors
Posted Image
Wanted to Control the Reapers. Didn't end well
Became collectors.
Tried to stop the their own kind from Destroying the Reapers.
Their weapons cause them pain why?
Indoctrinated.
sabotaged the Crucible.
Can be controlled by Harbinger, yet not by any other Reaper that we know of,
Nothing left of them because the Reapers synthesis them to much.

Benezia.
Posted Image
Liara's mom.
Tried to help Saren, but became Indoctrinated.

Rana
Posted Image
Indoctrinated by the Reaper tech on Virmirer,
killed Asari high command if Shepard let her live.
Convinced Shepard that she was not Indoctrinated.
Told Shepard about Indoctrination, and how it feels like.

End of part 2

Too true. Arrival made me feel all weird while playing it. I mean wow. You are around a fully operational reaper artifact thing for two days (where in my opinion the indoctrination started or at least got stronger,) and this isn't evidence to people when those people investigating the derelict reaper were indoctrinated by a non functioning reaper?!? No sir.

I believe because Legion upgrades himself with (remnants of) reaper code. To which I still believe DD has a point.

Even though Legion is my friend and I rather believe him. Damn you DD! ;)
