Well, let's look at it this way. Legion, a friend, now becomes hostile for Shepard not giving the Geth a chance. Legion tries to kill you. "Betraying friends" applies to this. That is the best I can take from this. I'm just saying that we should look at it from both sides. The Predator may very well be used in this situation due to it being the default weapon.CmdrShep80 wrote...

The Predator's the default pistol, it will inevitably appear places where there's no symbolism. That doesn't mean there can't ever be any with it at all, that's silly.
The idea is just assume 100% the predator is symbolized as freedom from indoctrination. I'm wondering if we're looking at the scene wrong by focusing too much on the players and not the symbol

I know you're just trying to look at it from both sides, but that's the same logic that blames the Geth for the morning war. Legion attacks Shepard because Shepard's going to allow the death of his entire race, the code isn't that relevant here.

EDIT - it's odd that the Reaper during the missile battery ignores you at the rough distance that you and the Normandy would be sitting from Harbinger.
Seriously go closer than the first missile battery and the reaper resumes trying to kill you and the beam attempts to follow you unless you stand still then you die. Go further back away from the first missile battery and the reaper just ignores you. I went and killed all the banshees at my leisurely pace out of cover then hooked it to the 2nd missile battery and clicked launch
It really is similar to the distance the Normandy sits away from Harbinger. Any distance further it's like Harbinger and this Reaper can't see you. Almost as if they have a built in blind spot

Ahh, I when reading your post, it reminded me of Wrex becoming hostile to you if you sabatoge the Genophage cure. Is a Pedator used to kill him in both ME and ME3?(Sorry, I don't know because I have never done either before).BleedingUranium wrote...

know what's odd...Stay near the reaper and the reaper shoots you it kills you. If you run all over it still finds you. Run to the back of the missile level and it ignores you after you're a certain distance away. There you can kill all the other enemies in peace. Yet the Reaper still doesn't destroy the second missile battery
EDIT (just realized this would be the orginal edit hence the edits being out of order like they are) - it's odd that the Reaper during the missile battery ignores you at the rough distance that you and the Normandy would be sitting from Harbinger.

Not sure if my edit will get noticed way up top. Now back to your normally scheduled post from a post ago:

EDIT 2 - to answer just before me above - yet the carnifex symbol denotes a bad thing as someone put it so killing Wrex would = the wrong thing in ME 3. Had Wrex been shot with a Predator then we would be freeing him from indoctrincation as the predator symbol represents. (I'm still just trying to look at the symbol's intent assuming they are 100% valid and true all the time no matter what we're shown and not just look at the players involved in the scene). It's the little things BioWare does that are often just off to the side or a small token to the larger plot that seems important in this game more often

EDIT - Interesting, if I stand in the corner of the cliff where he's behind the beam tower, he can't see me and I can keep the soldiers from spawning...he actually stops firing. Then when I look anywhere soldiers spwan and with deadly acuracy 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 soldiers gone poof!

so lol this is quite fun! I decided to play around with the beam run. I am currently standing at the edge of the cliff. Harbinger is perfectly blasting everyone on target with no problems aiming. I'm just standing here and he's ignoring me. By the way endless soldiers are just running to get blasted...don't these transports have a personnel limit? There was only a couple rolling along at the end?

That's pretty much a given with EC. Without EC it's debated, but getting lazed makes the most sense.
