And there was much rejoicing!

We all disagree over certain details though, so don't worry about it.  I, myself, still considering both Earth missions to be dogturds on an overwise very decent game.

I think that when EA dies, BioWare, Crytek, and all the other companies bought by EA would sink with the ship. Then again, I believe that the sacrifice would be well worth it in that case.

Just my opinion, though.

I think you are right on that one, but you have to take into account that these are only names. The developers, writers, programmers, designers, artists etc. won't just disappear. They may be unemployed for a certain amount of time, but they will find a new home, where they can hopefully work with less restraints and more time.

Oh sure, but the rights to their franchises would still lay with EA, which would be dead by that point.
That kinda reminds me of the entire fiasco with Piranha Bytes and Jowood back in 2006. Fortunately, PB reclaimed the rights to the gothic series after Jowood died this year.

Co-op in ME wouldn't work, I think. Mainly because the quickpauses you can do during battle is quite essential for good tactics.

Mostly only for squad management, it works perfectly fine in multiplayer.  And that's basically what I envision the co-op as, drop-in control over one or both of the teammates.

Only if Valve buys Bioware and lets them make games the proper way again.

...which would never get released because BioWare already has passed 3 with ME:P

Valve are allergic to the number 3, I agree.

But considering they released Counter Strike: Global Offensive, which is essentially Counter Strike 3...  I think its possible, so long as its not called Mass Effect 4!

How about Mass Effect Galaxy, and make it a reasonably open-space game with lots of room to explore.  And co-op.  Yes.

Co-op in ME wouldn't work, I think. Mainly because the quickpauses you can do during battle is quite essential for good tactics.

Top!

Exclude that quickpause, simple as that. It isn't present in MP anyways and I'd say any gold or platinum match is harder than the hardest parts of ME3 SP on insanity (though the cross-resurection in MP is very convenient).
You would have to increase the difficulty for co-op story mode and you'd have to think about the way dialogue works (maybe the main-player being like a normal SP Shepard while the other two or three players are just playing the other party member without any other interaction possible?).

If EA collapses I'm sure IPs like Mass Effect will be up for grabs for the right price.

Honestly, with recent changes to the game silver is getting to be almost as bad.

And yeah, dialogue would be handled by the main character.  Perhaps let the squadmates pick 'background dialogue' (basically side comments that don't really impact the flow of the conversation), but otherwise its time for them to sit and watch or to go to the bathroom.

Like I said, in total it was about 48 full pages on Microsoft Word with pictures, and without it was in the high teens.

Well, LDS just made a post that puts Arian to shame in terms of wall-of-text-y-ness, there's speculation that the Adjuntants may be inusannon Husks, and Rifneno and I may or may not be about to get into a debate about the fun factor of ME3 MP.

I guess a debate about ME3 MP is futile since you have both your subjective opinions (I know, that is kind of redundant).
Anyways: I'm out, see you in a few hours or days.

"Well just don't fight geth.  It's not like PUGs are set to random or anything.  hurr durr" is the response you typically get from people defending Fagnan's impossibly terrible job.  The entire MP team must be made up of clones of Dietz.

Yes. Even frakking Collectors, which I really feared in the beginning, are more fun to fight than Stagg-Master-Geth.
