Not funny guys. Several hundred people, including some of my ancestors, died in that tregedy. >=^(

My great-grandfather was executed by the germans, yet I don't feel bad about making n@zi jokes, and I don't feel uncomfortable around germans.

Even so some do (well I doubt many get uncomfortable around germans) and that should be respected.

Yeah, WWII jokes aren't funny.  My grandfather died in a concentration camp.  It was terrible.  He fell out of the guard tower and broke his neck.

...

I should go.

I do have to say, Ref, this is truly one of those jokes where the crowd goes "Ohhhhh". While it is horrible (my grandmother was also in a concentration camp but survived luckily) it is a joke.

Well done you horrible badger.

In other things:
I find that last video linked interesting. About those trees:
why would they be made solid? Out of all the things happening, especially the 2D VS piles, this seems like a redundant level of detail.
Did Bioware only do this in the EC after they saw that people where analysing it that much?

by the way I play ME on the PC in case that matters.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't -- The game is most likely designed for the lowest common denominator, with relatively few extras, or tweaks made to adapt for more powerful platforms -- even "proper-as-opposed-to-those-damned-controllers" control schemes do not receive as much beyond lip-service, as one could hope for.

(/swears every time having to manually reapply a FOV fix, after a new DLC replaces the ini file)

I did have fun just standing there. I also found out the missile battery you can do the same thing. At a certain distance the reaper tries to kill you beyond everything after that line the reaper ignores you and continues destroying buildings. Made for killing brutes, banshees, mauraders, cannibles that much easier

...and as long as one go along with the level designer's carefully balanced flow, one never notice. :)

My great-grandfather was a danish resistance member who got caught after having sabotaged a railroad.

My Great grand pa was a pilot that bombed several locations in Japan.

His
plane got shot down, and two of his crew members were knocked out. When
he got up his two crew members were about to be killed by the repel-er.
He pushed them out of the way, and the repel-er.... cut open his back.
Luckily however there was an outpost near by, and patched him up. However he
was now hand capish. He could walk, but not run. His piloting days were
done. Yet he got the Purple heart, and the silver star.

Dude, to be honest, you're talking to the guy who laughed when Joker joked about the asari after Thessia.  It's tragic, true, but humor helps to cope with tragic events.  Remember Joker's other conversation with EDI about the krogan and salarian during the Rachni Wars.

To be honest what Joker says is very true. It's wrong, but when you think about it's true.

Yup.  It's a horrible joke, but it's true, and it's funny.  You know, I guess I identify with the British a bit in my humor.  The British tend to enjoy humor that's less out and out funny and more discomforting (Or so I've heard).

Edit: Wow, British Humour even has a page on The Other Wiki.

Doesn't Joker say that Asari should have less dancers and strippers? That's just how other people envision the stereotypical asari to be. It's most likely not true, like that all germans wear lederhosen, or that all swedish women are hot ****s.

Another thing I noticed about the beam run is that the water appears to be going uphill. While water can do this if the conditions are right, those conditions do not exist in the proximity of that conduit.

All the British humor I've seen in America (Bean, Benny Hill, ect.) has just made me understand why the Reapers are so intent on annihilating London (where Anderson was born!).  But I suppose it's possible that's just the worst of it... if all I saw of America humor was Jim Carrey, I'd want to kill it with fire too.

I remember both instances with Joker. with Thessia, I actually didnt like Joker for that. As for the other, he wasnt making fun of a specific tragedy but of how those two viewed each other, and while not as bad as laughing at tradegy, is walking a slippery slope near the chasm of racist jokes which arent funny. The only time people should poke fun at others is when the other wont take offense, like how both the krogan and salarians like that joke.

Some do. Their first stage is like human teenage years. I for example didn't get drunk and go to parties. Many others do, though.

Well it's finally done. Excuse my speculative madness due to being in the middle of a big ball of reapers. Beam run.  I educate you all on intentional use.

shamelessly promotes speculative madness. It would have been lost in the rubble

I have seen this evidence mentioned before and I for one think that the foliage that pops in this part to be ironically like that of the dream sequences. I think the fact that you have to go off of the *beaten path* to even see it makes it important to notice. I truly think that Bioware puts on a show for the people that either can't/won't/whatever dissect the themes and provided an ending that was supposed to be easy to understand (the literal understanding) or to dissect it further, to look deeper and see a potentially more true ending. (IT maybe) They attempted to make all audiences happy and thus the endings had problems with being lost in translation for some, hence why the endings are so monstrously berated.

If we want to go that route then listen up cause my aunts farther actually sat in the Reichstag when the **** took the power and was forced to flee to Denmark where he hid. And that is a true story.

i believed in IT until the EC came out, it just felt like Bioware going out of their way to show that the ending was literal, still a small part of me hope y'all are right and might actually buy the next dlc if it confirms IT and fixes the ending. sorry for not joining in on ongoing conversation just wanted to throw my two cents into this massive thread-o-doom.

One thing I'm trying to figure out about the Beam Run, that ties into that business with the water.  What's with the wind?  I mean, that wind is FIERCE, and much worse than the wind that was present, oh, about 10 - 15 minutes ago tops.  I mean, it's not like Harbinger has thrusters or anything like that, and I'm pretty certain that his Mass Effect field wouldn't have an effect like THAT on the surrounding area.

Edit: Top!  Darn, Banshee's not here.  Estebanusister is though!

I somehow don't believe you, to be completely honest. A back that's been cut open and being downed in enemy territory is certain death.
