Can someone answer this question? In Mass Effect 2 Mordin says:

A sexually transmitted disease known as "scale-itch" that is carried only by varren can be detected aboard the Normandy during a specific dialogue sequence with Mordin Solus; he will be seen at his lab combating the infection and notes that the implications of it are "unpleasant," euphemistically insinuating that someone aboard has been having sexual relations with varren.

The only Krogan we really had aboard was Grunt who's a pure breed Krogan and this wouldn't happen with him. So who is it that could have had relationship with varren?

Remember the VI in ME 3? It says to Shepard, "You look like a Varren person. Is it insinuating Shepard likes varren and he could be infected by a varren and the implications of being infected is unpleasant?

We can symbolically assume the infection is indoctrination or we can just assume Shepard has been having sexual relations with varren as Mordin claimed someone is doing but we never find out

Holy crap. Didn't think I'd be a part of this momentous occasion, getting this close to 3000.

Been playing ME1, just finished Matriarch Beniziah. I know this will most likely get buried under everything. Has there been anything new at all? Anything I should look for through this playthrough?

I'm not saying that's the only thing that could do it, or even that it definitely is what did it for me.  But I checked the conditionals and found the flag that determines whether Starbinger is grumpy and needs a nap, and I went through saves for 5 or so different playthroughs checking it.  It's defaulted to 0 (full on bratmode) but it always got set to 1 (omnicidal maniac - nice kid edition) between the last possible place to save on Tuchanka and the first possible place to save afterwards.  I've always cured the genophage, so yeah...  it could be a lot more complex than this since most of my playthroughs are very similar decisionwise.  i.e. if you've got Wreav instead of Wrex, it might be reversed or something.

That's very interesting. So the kid can be snotty to you even if you have high EMS?

There's not much of a reason in a literal interpretation for the kid to be annoyed by your failing to cure the genophage, he can preserve the Krogan by pickling them inside a Reaper, or cure the genophage with synthesis. I suppose, the Krogan would still die out if Shep picked Control or destroy - but I don't see the Bratalyst losing sleep over that.

It makes much more sense if the Bratalyst's harsh tone is due to Shepard's own guilt. Score another one for IT.
