Could be anything. It would make a better situation for a sequel than what we have now for sure. I'm just glad someone else noticed we don't use the thanix cannon!!! The GX12 thermal pipe is also useless. Chekhov's guns. I'll let others answer more in-depth as I will be in the shower.AuditoreanGhost wrote...
Well, guys here's a bone to chew on.
Let's say that Bioware pulls the unexpected: Makes a reunion scene, extends the War Assets, Free Roam after Endings, confirms IT, adds an Harbinger Boss fight (Maybe use the Thanix Cannon for god's sake) etc. etc.
What would happen next?

Somewhat like the theory that refuse was the indoc-breaker but they implemented it early (an unfinished version) to quell some outcry. That's why Shepard doesn't do anything in it. An interesting idea.jojon2se wrote...

Yep, that's the one.
I'm going refuse from an IT angle, myself, although I try to resist defending that here, because of the prevalence of some rather... "ingrained" ideas, among many regulars -- I'd rather avoid conflict.
In spite of my personal interpretation; If there is an IT reveal, I may prefer to be wrong and see a new fifth path added, as the one way to truly reject indoctrination -- I'd rather nobody is right, because I'll abide any number of bad losers over even a single bad winner.
@Eryri I think I laughed a little too much.

Well, I tried to imagine the reaction after that singular moment. I for myself would run to the nearest store to pick up a 50 dollar PSN Card, buy all ME3 DLC's and start a new completionist playthrough from Mass Effect to the third one...
Frankly, I would pass out from a nerdgasm, just like that guy a couple comments up

Credits obviusly
But more seriusly, if the Reaper war over then:
But I would imagine a general celebration cinematic much like the end of Star Wars ep VI, showing the different planets. A memorial scene for the fallen not unlike the one on the Nromandy, but maybe larger scale and I would personally like to see a love interest scene as well (not just reunion).
Like showing a short scene of Shepard sitting on a bench outside Huerta when a nurse comes and gets him, bringing him into a room where Liara is lying in the bed with a little blue baby.
Shepard and Tali on Rannoch and the camera zooms out to show them standing before a nice house.
Garrus and Shepard adopting a kid of some kind, a Krogan if you cured the Genophage.
Just such a small scene which would give ultimate closure for our Shepard.
Maybe a little with each of your other squadmates as well.
But as for later I could imagine a sequel dealing with the rebuilding of the galaxy following the war and all the chaos it will bring. This is something i have mentioned before.
The mighty Turian Armada is almost wiped out, the Asari have een revealed to be hoarding Prothean technology and the Salarians are split by internal struggles. The three major council races weakened. But on the other side we got the Geth / Quarians / Krogan / Rachni rising to power in the Galaxy. And with the Batarians practically wiped out there will most likely be alot of people interested in their space.
A witch cauldron of problems and potential requiring a new hero to rise and guide the broken Galaxy back on to its footing.

Exactly and the Salarians passiveness (if you go the cure Genophage route) is probably not going to do them any favors either. Turian and humans despite the beatings they took will probably be better of as they largely took the worst blows of the war something the rest of the Galaxy will probably recognice.
Someone on the Normandy spoke of finding those who sat on their asses and deleivering some payback. A sequel could very wlel be about preventing such a thing from completely destablizing the weakened galaxy.

If imports from ME3 are taken into account, whole civilisations may or may not be there, and these can hardly be given any seriously important role in the power balance of the galaxy, at large, or they'd just about have to make a separate game for every permutation.
A wounded, post-war galaxy remains full of exciting possibilities, though.

If the Reapers, Geth and EDI die in Destroy, what about the Leviathans? Aren't they some type of prototype-Reapers or are they completely organic?

People always say that Bioware can't please everyone, but really, the above would not be that hard to do! Hell, I think much of the BSN would rather them make that instead of the rest of the DLC if we had to choose. I would!AuditoreanGhost wrote...

Shepard presides over Anderson's burial (because he will die no matter what, I'm absolutely sure of it) together with her friends and loved ones. Both Hacket, Kahlee and Shepard say some words before Anderson is buried. Afterwards, Shepard can be seen talking together with Hackett and Primarch Victus. They're discussing if some form of memorial should be built for the fallen, on which they all agree. A little later, Shepard rejoins her former squad and tells them what she's been discussing with Hackett, and the player can then either make a choice between remaining in the alliance or to desert together with her LI. If Shepard chooses to remain with the alliance, she tells her squad that she will help the races recover from the war. If Shepard chooses to desert, she secretly gathers her friends at a quiet spot to tell them her intentions. Her friends decide to remain with her, and no matter what you chose, a final cutscene shows the Normandy slowly flying into space.AuditoreanGhost wrote...

Finally, an epilogue comes where you see what impact your choices had on the galaxy, abd how it will form after the war. You see what will become of your companions, and what new conflicts will arise from this one.
After all that is said and done, the timeline skips a few years into the future. Shepard is on the Citadel together with her LI, looking at the newly built memorial. It is made out of solid gold, and it depicts a human soldier, an asari, a turian, a krogan (depending on your choice), a salarian, a quarian (depending on your choice again) and a geth (again depending on your choice) standing on the corpse of a reaper, their guns rised in the air. Shepard (who is either wearing her standard N7 armour if you chose to remain in the alliance, or simple civilian clothing if you chose to desert) and her LI take a moment to remember their fallen friends and allies. Shepard then asks the Li if s/he will marry her. The LI says yes, they both kiss, and the screen slowly fades to black.

That's what I expect, it's far enough into the future that Shepard wouldn't be a frontline soldier anymore, instead being the new character's Anderson, and I'd expect all the major characters would still be alive.
