Hello everybody. I was thinking of something. If we think of Starchild literaly, than he represents consensus of all Reapers. We learn during trilogy, that diversity is our strength. It make harder for Reapers to fight against us, it makes us revise our morals, views on everything. It's what Legion want for all Geth – every single unit become indepentent. Reapers are made of unthinkable number of different species yet are standing for one moral, one goal. That shows us how Starbrat's logic is broken and how Synthesis make everyone think like Reapers (peace, utopia). If Reapers (and Starbrat) think that the pinnacle of evolution beeing the same, than I don't understand how anybody can choose Synthesis.
It's opposit to everything what Mass Effect stands for. It's abomination.
(sorry if my English is terrible, but I prefer reading than writing )

I'm with Spot on this one.

I like Darth Revan, he's a nice guy, but the anime stuff, it's just too much, too often.

It's bad enough that things go off-topic so often here, but I've noticed that whenever I see pages with anime pictures, I skip a lot of posts and I'm not even reading the conversations any more.

I know I post a lot of pictures too, but at least they're all IT/ME related.

Ok, let's discuss something!

Do you think this part of Alice is a dream/hallucination/waking nightmare?
And can it help us identify the different depths of Sheps dream state during the ending? Like, the TIM-Anderson-Shep Trio is deeper in Sheps mind than the Beam Run?

Madness Returns!  Awesome, awesome, unsettlingly brilliant game.  McGee rules.  It hadn't even occurred to me to compare Alice's hallucinations to ME3's final mission, but it's a really good call.

Reality and perception become more and more warped as the game goes on.  the situations you play through aren't necessarily what is actually happening.  With Alice, you play one thing, but then read the notes and find out what is actually happening...

I definitely have to do another playthrough of Alice to see if there are more connections to MEs ending

The ending is a good example for a reality-dream/hallucination-overlay, when London transforms into Wonderland

Some WNTists should have a look at this too

edit: Maybe we should take a look at the Queens dialogue as well

And why not Cheshire?  ;)

"Ah, Shepurrrrd.  Can't go home again.  No surprise, really.  Only a very few find the way, and most of them don't recognise it when they do.  Delusions too, die hard.  Only the savage regard the endurance of pain as a measure of worth.  Forgettig pain is convenient.  Remembering it, agonizing.  But recovering the truth is worth the suffering.  And our Wonderland, though damaged, is safe in memory... for now."

edit:  And here's an apt little gem as well.  One for the bad writing theorists/literalists out there:

"Every picture tells a story, sometimes we don't like the ending... sometimes we don't understand it."

Sorry I didn't replay to the rest of you, just had to get that poster out for byne and then had to do some things.

Can't promise everyone a poster, it's easier for some because of a funny characteristic or behavior in the thread.

Destined to be a cult/underground classic.

I remember being awestruck when I played the original back in 2000.  It was incredibly characterful and a creepy little spin on a classic story.  When I found out that McGee was finally making a sequel, I was delighted.

I saw the reviews for it on IGN etc, and was disappointed.  But I bought the game day one anyway, and was once again blown away.  The moral of the story?  Don't trust the review sites!

Especially IGN! These guys are no gamers if you ask me...

McGees Alice games are masterpieces and deserve a lot more players

They kind of bug me too, but thats why I just ignore them and keep scrolling instead of having tantrum about it like some people do, and I dont just mean spotless. Others too.

People need to just relax.

If you use Adblock Plus, just include the graphic's URL into your filter system. That's what happened to Hanar's maniacly staring anime avatar that started to annoy me, when he posted here frequently.
