One can hope can't they? That would make my day, no, wait, my year. This series means too much to me for it to be left with such a tarnish on its reputation. I mean seriously. This series is my favorite media story. Of books, games, movies etc. This is made even more so when considering IT being true. So if they do this then I will be a happy person for sure.umadcommander wrote...

Expansion Pack that takes place after ending. Bioware says they are not making any new ending content, but they've never said anything about not making any post-ending content.LadySuspense wrote...
Hey I was just thinking, and this may be ranting. But I mean it would be awesome if (and I believe it is,) IT is proven correct. Then what the heck happened after?!?!!? I mean are we looking for the end of the story in multiplayer?!? Sorry just frustrated that what could be an answer could just be a Band-Aid for an ending.
Yeah, I remember playing ME1 for the first time. I thought it was the best looking game I'd ever played, and the coolest. Then ME2 came along, and blew the first one out of the water. Though there WERE a few moments I thought ME2 had slightly lower res textures. Of course, between the two, ME2 looks better. I think it was just me.
Edit: Ah, top with good memories.
Agreed. It wasn't perfect, but for me, it was as close to perfection as any game ever got. Of course, if IT is true, ME3 will be even better.
Edit: BTW, if IT isn't true, ME will be forced to take second place to Deus Ex, and Halo will remain in third.

Well then. New question. What memories does everyone hold dearly of Mass Effect? What moment made the series so great to you? What made the experience?
The main menu, vigil is such a perfect theme for it
Speaking to sovereign, he really does make you seem insignificant
Speaking to vigil, the anti-sovereign really gives you hope for victory
From the wreakage, just awesome
ME2:
The illusive man, and his theme song were awesome in ME2
Normandy reborn, one of those awwww yeah moments
Able to romance tali, yes yes go ahead and judge me:P
Suicide mission, goes without saying
ME3:
Mordin death, and the whole genophage story in general was absoultely outstanding
Geth and quarians, felt so good to make peace between them even though i lost legion:crying:
Soundtrack, it was so fitting for the game
Killing Kai leng, he was lame felt good to put him down like a punk
IT, duh
Thats my list

I can't pick just one moment, so I'll make a list:
ME1: First arrival at Citadel, Sovereign speech, Virmire sacrifice (Might have been the first time I ever genuinely cried because of a game), Vigil chat, and Shepard climbing out of rubble. (Just to name a few, there are more)
ME2: Shepard dying at the beginning, the new Normandy, meeting Garrus again, dealing with that racist C-Sec Officer and racist volus, Overlord (God that was so shocking for a fourteen year old, I genuinely wanted to kill Gavin Archer for that), Shepard and his favorite store, punching or Reason You Suck Speech'ing Ms. Al-Jilani, ALL OF THE SUICIDE MISSION (I got Mordin and Grunt killed first time through
ME3: Meeting Garrus again and all the calibrations jokes, helping EDI develop and watching her relationship with Joker mature, returning to the Citadel, shooting Udina, those brief ME2 squadmate reunions on the Citadel, Thane's death, Mordin's death and singing (I'm tearing up just thinking about his sacrifice. Scientist salarian, Mordin, I'll finish it for you.), that brofist with Wrex on Tuchanka, KALROS VS. REAPER, meeting Jack again with the kids, Legion's sacrifice, the geth consensus mission, Grunt's almost sacrifice, GUTTING KAI LENG and the line that goes with it, bringing the full weight of the galaxy to bear on the Reapers at Earth (Say what you will about the ending, but that space battle was the definition of EPIC), the goodbyes on Earth, USING THE CAIN AGAIN, bringing down the Reaper with the missiles, and beating indoctrination. (And other things I'm not going to list because I don't want this to get any longer)
Basically, it's EVERYTHING about this series that I love. Anything that I don't like is just that, something I don't like but really don't hate either.

There's an impossible question. The series has had so many. I think one of the things that really "made" the experience for me was how in-depth they get. They give explanations for how the most mundane and pointless things work. The detail is simply breathtaking. Even in 3, which is constantly slammed for the writing, there's so many great stories in the codex and the war assets descriptions. Then there's the science. People rag on it all the time for "space magic" but the series has tried very hard to keep things as scientifically believable as possible. It's just so good that it goes over most people's heads. Ferrofluids, quantum entanglement, dark energy, it's so good that it gets mistaken for bad. Incredible.
For story moments, going through the Omega-4 relay had an epic feel to it that defied description. Meeting Sovereign was likewise, except in a dreadful fashion. The Reapers are one of the greatest villains of all time. Mordin's death on Tuchanka was... wow. I'm not ashamed to say I shed a few tears at that. That was one of the best death scenes I've seen in any genre or media. "A new beginning... for us all." and then it explodes. And then you remember his speech in ME2 about reincarnation and it clicks what he meant. Managing peace between the geth and quarians was almost as good. The emotion put into that was off the charts.

Oh man the codex detail! I have spent hours reading the descriptions for the codex and war assets! They are phenomenal and the best examples of in game codex that exist. Other games have tried to copyright it but they can never get the depth to it that ME did.Rifneno wrote...

The sheer size and scope was amazing for me. I'm actually pretty new to ME. I had heard about it before, but I only played it when the demo for 3 came out. Even that was pretty overwhelming in terms of all the new stuff that opened up for me, since I have an FPS backrground. The races, the weapons, powers, classes, it was so much stuff at once it was awesome and hindering at the same time. I think ME had the longest learning curve of any game for me, which I like.LadySuspense wrote...
Well then. New question. What memories does everyone hold dearly of Mass Effect? What moment made the series so great to you? What made the experience?
After the ME3 demo I bought ME1 and 2. The fact that I could make my own Shepard, and have her act the way I wanted was new to me, and it was awesome! I never felt so immersed. One of the best memories I have is the first time I went to the citadel. It was an information overload! Walking around talking to all of the different races, learning about the technilogy, the culture, the biology. Reading codex entries, getting lost, using the map. All of the sidemissions, places to explore and squadmates' dialogue was interesting. I had spent 4 hours straight on the citadel before thinking I should probably go eat.
Liara.
I loved how the ME1 crew really felt connected and a lot of that was because of the conferences after missions. I sat there for quite a while when I had to chose between Kaidan and Ash. Kirrahe's Hold the Line speech was epic. Sovereign... that voice. As soon as I heard him saying the reapers were the pinnacle of evolution I knew what kind of villains these were. Saren's indoctrination was fascinating. I was really pumped when I finished ME1. The end was epic and oh, did I want to play ME2 after that! Fortunately, I had it.
ME2 was a major step up in combat. The dirty dozen was pretty cool, if more disconnected than ME1's squad. Meeting Joker and seeing the Normandy SR-2 made me feel so good, so at home and nostalgic. It didn't feel like I didn't know anyone after that. Seeing the rest of the ME1 squad again was great too. Wrex, who Shepard rubbed off on, uniting the krogan. Liara. Garrus being Archangel, and figuring that out just before it was revealed! Kelly Chambers was very cute too.
Harbinger was so cool. Love his voice. And when it was revealed that he was a reaper, that was sweet. TIM was a really interesting character too. Very stylish. And of course the Suicide Mission. So. Epic. I was so looking foward to ME3's ending because of that. Oh well. Even just walking past you crew and having them nod at you was more than what we got. But I digress. If they ending to ME1 got me pumped to play ME2, you have no idea how pumped I was to play ME3 after the across-the-galaxy staredown with Harbinger and his reaper armada!
I'll leave ME3 out, as I don't feel like doing another paragraph.
I didn't even talk about the music! Well I could go on for as long about the music, I'll just say: Vigil, End Run, I Was Lost Without You.
