Well I remember plfranke got banned for saying he had troll threads up and a mod was here watching and banned him.
Uh-Oh, I've quoted 4 times, goodbye thread.

I guess this is the end of me too! Posted Image

If paxxton was never banned back when he actively tried to get quote pyramids as big as possible, I dont see how quote pyramids should ever get anyone banned.

Thanks I kind of passed out. Blah sickness. I need a medigel STAT!. Anyway. It really is interesting how the IT thread has an unnatural lifespan. Not unnatural to fans but due to how easily other threads get cut down. Heh, maybe we are some kind of golden thread that the fate's cannot cut! (Crosses fingers to not get closed down.)
Edit- Top for the second time today! Posted Image

Thats not good:(. We hope you get better soon!

Considering this thread has had what, millions of views, and been going on for months (the topic) I would not call it a coincidence.

They only delay the inevitable.
A thread sacrificed, but even now, the literalist civilizations are doomed to fall. Their leaders will beg to serve us.
Kill one thread and 100 will replace it!
Destroying this thread gains you nothing.
This thread does not matter.

Okay enough Harbinger quotes.

Hey, you've been on top enough lately. Mind if I have a turn?

Yeah. Good point. Every ME fan has at least heard of IT. I'd say most of them are in the middle. Maybe they think it's cool but isn't true. But they would be more than open if it was! There are only a few who actively hate IT - for reasons beyond our comprehension.

@Suspense Seconded. Get better soon! Posted Image

Bloop.

Short version: Shepard sees a child playing on a rooftop, then the Reapers come. The child has a short amount of time to leave the park on the roof. Later in the level, you can see the same place where the child was at the beginning of the game- except that there is not park there anymore.

Next, the kid would have to travel a very long distance to the near top of another massive building. The child can be seen sitting near the edge of that building, watching a Reaper. As you move closer, he runs through a locked door to get in the building, which is later destroyed by the Reapers. A massive explosion happens in the room where the child is hiding .

When you enter the building, you hold open a stuck door for Anderson. When Anderson goes through, Shepard goes to an air vent with the child in it. The conversation with the child is eerie ("You can't save me."), what child refuses help from a millatary officer? When Anderson aproaches, the child is gone. And a Reaper growl sounds.

At the Evac sight for the child, nobody except Shepard seems to notice him. The child struggles to climb into the shuttle, and nobody even attempts to help him. When the child climbs in, he looks up, directly at Shepard.

After all this, personally, I believe that the child was never real. The child was fake right from the start of the game. I think that the Reapers are using this child to haunt Shepard about his failure to save him. The child also appears in Shepard's dreams, these dreams include lots of Indoctrination codex clues (oily shadows for one), and to top it all off, the "Catalyst" appears as that very child.

Just so we have one piece of speculation. (As if the role of the child was in debate).

Thank you 401 and Banshee. IT will never be just a coincidence in my eyes. All it needs is a confirmation on what most of us already know or at least are firmly entertaining.

Oh, the punchline to that spider pic I posted? That's a huntsman spider. They're harmless. Some people even pick them up and put them out in the garden because, as you can imagine, the arachnid answer to the Incredible Hulk has to eat a lot of bugs.

They aren't harmless actually. They just aren't poisonous, bet your bottom dollar they will bite you. But it will only hurt as opposed to geting poisoned and infected.

I personally think it was confirmed the moment Bioware said it was just as valid as the literal interpretation. They have denied so much... Why not this? And Bioware has even encouraged us to keep the speculation up.

Another piece of evidence that should at least lead people to wrinkle an eyebrow, Shepard was close to a reaper artifact (bloom thing I can't remember it's official purpose, well rather than indoctrination) and they think that it didn't cause any kind of indoctrination. Well Rayna that worked with Saren didn't even show any symptoms until thee (two years and some odd months,) And that is documented in the mail you receive in game not speculation even. Not to mention the people that were indoctrinated when on the derelict reaper. That wasn't even functioning! So yeah Shep is indoctrinated! He/she isn't immune to indoctrination. Nothing is. There more speculation.

Very good info. Fairly consice and to the point too. Going in my document soon.Posted Image

Anyway, you are totally right. There is absolutely no way the child could be real after the first time you see him, but I highly doubt he was even real then, because of the disappearance of the park, and the freaking sound effects that the kid's fighter makes. The very first scene in the game shows that the kid is manipulating the audience and whenever something relates to him, deception will ensue. Also note that Anderson doesn't even ask what Shepard was doing or say "Come on we can't slow down." He never saw or heard the kid like everyone else. I wonder why? The Virmire survivor also conveniently leaves before Shepard sees the kid die.

If he was in Shepard's head, how did that happen? Only one logical conclusion.

More than if they keep saying nothing, keeping people's hopes up and then say it's wrong? It's just trolling to keep us going like this if it's wrong.

I'm going to begin by conditionally apologizing to Revan. I generally try to be civil, and I certainly don't dislike you, but what you were doing was spamming, intentional or not, and I think Lex did a good job of explaining to you why it isn't appropriate, regardless of others reactions to it. Still, I shouldn't have gone off to that extent, but I was exasperated at my previous pleas being blithely ignored and lost my temper. I appreciate your decision to stop posting anime pictures, hopefully you won't hold a grudge because I'm not going to. I also apologize to anyone else who was offended. Except to those two literalist, this apology doesn't apply to you. You're both still idiots.

Its also a bad PR move to string people along having them think something better lies ahead, only to realize that no progress was made at all.

Exactly. Screwing up is obviously bad PR - but isn't it worse PR to effectively mislead people? It will hurt them in the end.

No one seems to want to speculate about my speculations. Though I will admit 401 is way more organized in there presentation. Eh oh well I will wait to bring it up again until I have more organized notes and actual dialogue/codex/in game mail to prove my point.

Exactly. There is no way around Shepard being indoctrinated (present tense). I really don't know how people can forget this. I guess instead of trying a little harder seeing something in a way that makes sense, they have to see thew negative in everything, even if there is no negative. I'll post something similar soon.

And thank you for letting me be on top this time. I'm sure you could use the break anyway. Posted Image
