Here's the odd thing:

Javik at Thessia (my title reminds me of Darmok and Tenagra hehe)

Watch the vid with discovering the prothean beacon.  There are a few off things.  I'll tell ya in a sec, just want to get the link up.

EDITS - please read as I update

at 9:51 Javik says "The activation is complete, we can activate the beacon now"
9:51 - 9:57 Shepard runs to the beacon control panel (it needs a control panel? does any of the previous becons need a panel?).  Meanwhile we're in a cutscene
9:57 As Shepard begins to try to activate the beacon, Liara says:  "We need to hurry.  This place isn't going to..."
10:00 and is cut off by Vendetta popping out of the beacon.  No one on screen notices the beacon's not active.  (keep in mind we the player click the interactable icon tricking us to think the beacon is activated but it is not, the interactable icon is only letting us activate the cutscene)
10:09 Vendetta starts talking - Javik seems to recognize it as "One of our computers."  So this indicates it's not a fake.
10:19 - Vendetta says:  "Reaper presence detected. This galactic cycle has already reached it's extinction terminus systems shutting down.  (This alludes that due to all the Reapers on Thessia, Vendetta can detect Reapers).

EDITs part 2:

Liara says:  "Hold on"
Shepard says:  "We need answers"
Vendetta says:  "To what questions?"
Shepard says:  "The catalyst.  We need to know what it is to finish the crucible."  (Shepard here is hoping Vendetta knows.  There's no guarentee at this point if Vendetta truly knows.  Keep in mind we still haven't seen the beacon activate like it usually does.
10:44 - Vendetta takes shape of a Prothean.  Javik says: "A memory of one of my people."  Here's the thing, if we didn't search for Javik in From Ashes, we would still see this Prothean image.  So this suggest the Prothean VI is truly a Prothean VI. (we still haven't touched the beacon.  Everyone still thinks Vendetta is the beacon.  No one even asks him if that's true).
10:47 - We seemed to have hit the jackpot because Vendetta claims:  I am called Vendetta, an advanced virtual construct of Pashek Vran, overseer of the project you refer to as the crucible." 

Here's where it goes iffy.  1 - How does Vendetta know that Overseer Pashek Vran's project and Shepard's project is one and the same if all Shepard asked was "The catalyst.  We need to know what it is to finish the crucible."  This is totally in no comparison context of any kind when asked.
EDIT I forgot 2 - How fortunate that we are to happen to be on a planet where a computer VI has the exact program of an exact project that we need that is I don't know how many light years away from Mars where we find the original plans.  Nothing before actually lead us to believe we will meet the project designer.  It's similar if we all travel to Alaska, strike it rich with oil and out comes the project designer for Dragon Age Awakenings (I don't know if they're the same but still) and we ask "The Indoctrination Theory.  We need to know if it is right to finish the game."

These are the former Prothean worlds.  We will have to deduce which it is by finding the 9th planet in the system (will do this in a bit).
Shepard asked "What happened to the Crucible in your time."  Still no context by Shepard as to what is the Crucible.  Yet Vendetta shares, "We were sabotaged from within.  A splinter group argued we should dominate the Reapers rather than destroy them."  Is this a lie even if he was part of the splinter group, no it's not.  It's the truth, yet without context we can't tell if Vendetta is part of this.  He goes on to share the Sepratists were indoctrinated.  He also goes on to offer things about a pattern of attacks by the Reapers saying that every 50,000 year cycle the pattern is the same.  I offer a hypothosis.  This pattern if Vendetta knows Kai is watching, he wouldn't be able to see or understand the pattern if it is in a Prothean cypher but Shepard would.  Yet we're not seeing it through Shepard's eyes so we don't know what was communicated:
There are 3 of these at least.  Each pattern of Reaper attack is slightly different.

Spot leaving just because of Anime pics, and everyone ( well almost everyone) telling him ignore it/ be nice. Reminds me of when I was going to leave because I felt useless at the time, and TSA, Byne, Estebanus and a few others were getting tiered of my bad spelling grammar.

Actually I was.


During my earlier days on the IT thread I...put the IT thread on the
line. I provoked literalist, and trolls came into the IT thread. Almost
all the trolls that came onto the Mark 2 of the IT thread where because
of my ignorant, childish behavior of forcing IT on what they thought
was right. I was just getting tired of it all. ME3, Bioware, EA,
Literalist, trolls, and bnsner's ( not you guys). Yet that gave me no right in doing so.
And now I don't go out side the thread that often.

Well so far of the list there are only two places of possibilities. Fehl Prime (which suggests a first planet or second planet (since Eden Prime was a 2nd planet strangely enough) which will be in the Paragon Lost video and Kahje the Hanar homeworld.

Kahje is also dotted with Prothean ruins, which has shaped the religion and society of the hanar. Mount Vassla, an underwater volcano, is at the heart of one of the largest Prothean ruins. The winners of the religious events of the hanar holiday of Nyahir (or "First Cresting Bloom") are inscribed in bioluminescence on the sides of the mountain for a year afterward.

We've never been there and there's no location for it yet. It could be Kahje is Tranbir 9?

Think this is what I want to talk about? It was for anyone defending what Revan was doing. Not defending Revan the person. Defending his behavior.


I think when people say I don't care who started it, that's an injustice to the one responding to the instigation. It may take two to tango, but it only takes one person to throw a punch. If everyone did what Revan did the thread would be trash. He was repeatedly asked to stop and instead increased the frequency to basically every page. That makes it entirely his fault. Unless you believe spamming off topic pictures is okay, then I'm the ****.

It's possible the Reapers could have created a beacon. What is to say it's Prothean.

Leng couldn't have used the beacon. He doesn't have the cipher and he isn't prothean. But I think Vendetta may be a plant.

I don't think Shepard used the Beacon at all.  Vendetta revealed itself first.

Every other time Shepard has used a Beacon, he/she has been picked up off the ground and rendered motionless as it interfaces.

Hense I think Kai Leng planted Vendetta, or at least tampered with it.  We already know the Asari scientists inside the temple had their throats cut, and its even 'confirmed' that Kai Leng did it with various comments.  Meaning Leng got inside that shield and then reactivated it.  Or also planted the shield to make sure only Shepard would gain access.

My thoughts exactly, though I'm not 100% what you mean by shield.

He removed all his anime pics, but Spot for a late Christmas gift I gave
him an Anime pic. IT was only going to be used on birthday's, or party
events. Look I get what you are coming from. Heck I hated that Lex kept
on posting the little blue child of Liara, and Shepard. It was getting
on my nerves, so I lashed out at him, and told him to please post
another picture of a baby other than the little Asari baby.

It wasn't right, but he stooped. Once and a while he post it, but I don't get angry now. Just take a deep breath. He already said he was done with the posting pics of anime, unless it's a special day ( holiday's, or birthday's). So I say let's all shake hands, and enjoy the new year.

It's not just anime for me, To be honest I hate all the off-topic like DAO discussions for 10 pages straight or Red vs. Blue talk, but I can skim over that.

Pictures are a different story altogether. Suddenly, the thread is filled with creepy anime kids smiling or grinning or crying, page upon page. Next thing I know, I'm not even bothering to catch up on the thread any more. I just check the last page, because I can't stand looking at all that non-Mass Effect related stuff. Text, I can ignore. These pictures, I can't.

It's nothing personal. I think Spot is right when he wonders what this thread would look like if everyone would post non-Mass Effect related 'reaction pictures' for every other thing that was brought up. It would look like total chaos. It already does when one person does this.

I still think that the comment about security protocols being overwritten is more than just a throw-away comment.  Looking at it more closely really makes you wonder.
