If the Citadel is the central point of the Mass Effect universe, it's probably going to be where the trilogy ends. Just a guess.
Javik said something similar where the Citadel was the center of the universe, and it was also responsible for the Prothean's demise.
The Final Hours app referred to it as the Star City or the center of everything that goes on in the galaxy. When the Citadel opens up during the ending it looks like a star.
Breath scene says otherwise

That is essentially post-ending. the ending occurs when all the galaxy-changing events occur. Everything thereafter is post-ending (That is to say, the epilogue). The entire epilogue starts when Hackett/Shepalyst/EDI start talking. The breath scene is the end of the epilogue. That is also only one of several different endings, if you haven't noticed.CoolioThane wrote...

They cut all the files that weren't part of the Omega DLC yes, BioWare seems to be getting better at preventing datamining.

Right. I was going to mention the whole dream and that not being the real Citadel part.
Shepard: Doesn't look like any part of the Citadel I've been to.
The part where you get beamed up resembles a Reaper processing ship for DNA harvesting, according to the codex.
The other thing I was going to mention is that this sort of thing has been done before with certain shows. The "fake" building looks similar, but has some stuff that is out of place (eg. Stargate SG-1 did this with one of its episodes).
The real Citadel's control panel is in the council chambers, and I don't think it would have an elevator that ascends you up to a room which is basically in outer space (requires an actual spacesuit to survive).

He's referring to the colours you see when you're fatally wounded or heavily wounded. I can understand that. I've talked to a war vet who was shot in the chest by an SVD. His description of dying was... less than pleasant.BansheeOwnage wrote...

True! And wow! Never caught that quote, to wrapped up in reading that scene. I'd say there's some more foreshadowing there. I wonder why this was cut?

It's just funny out of context, that's all. But Shepard is having some serious existential crises here. Ties in with the VI comment on Chronos. Interesting.estebanus wrote...

I guess due to fear of offending religious people? It's a nice scene though. It shows some of Shepard's internal struggles, and Shepard makes a joke too.Pascal219 wrote...

Hmm, I'm getting a lot of condescension from your posts.
Breath scene takes place on Earth. If Earth, it means IT/something similar is true...meaning the choices are not real and we are not on the Citadel at all. That means that the ending does not take place on the citadel; rather in our own minds.
As this is the IT thread, most of us don't believe we were on the Citadel at all, so by saying "if you hadn't noticed" which does come across as slightly rude, it is wrong in most of our views.

Definitely ending foreshadowing.
Just like:
Garrus: Don't forget to come up for air, there's a lot more war to go.
and
Anderson: Shepard. So I imagine you've wiped the galaxy clean of Reapers, and we can all come up for air?

I wasn't trying to be rude. And I'm not about to argue this. You have your views, I have mine, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna try and force my opinion down somebody else's throat. Let's just leave it at that.CoolioThane wrote...

Doesn't exactly matter, as it's a deleted scene. It isn't part of the game. As such, you can't exactly cite it as evidence.BansheeOwnage wrote...
